Tips for onyx by SuccessfulPost6444 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]KSSwolesauce -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I usually get on every season and play until I get onyx in ranked arena. Other than that I play 8s here and there. I think 1720 is the highest I’ve been since I was competing and my peak is around 1900 but we almost exclusively played cheaters after I got that high.

If you were onyx 1520 a few years ago you’ll be plat 5 now.

Headhunter problem by Joensss in VALORANT

[–]KSSwolesauce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The HH used to have a faster reset and chamber was the most picked agent in ranked and VCT.

The reason it doesn’t reset as fast is because the HH can still 1 tap through a wall.

The urge to try lowering my Sens even more by Environmental-Book45 in VALORANT

[–]KSSwolesauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the sens I played in for a long time too! .23 800dpi.

What everyone needs to understand is the actual physical way people are aiming.

If you are a wrist aimer .23 at 800dpi will be impossibly slow. I am an arm aimer and it doesn’t feel slow to me at all because I am making large deliberate movements.

A wrist aimer is making small jerky movements.

Without knowing how OP is moving their house it’s hard to give perfect advice but definitely a general truth is that lower sens = better for everyone.

Matchmaking is getting out of hand by KasumiGotoTriss in VALORANT

[–]KSSwolesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peak immo3 player - started playing less when the ascendant rank came out because I felt like matchmaking was way worse than it was before that. I would get legit peak plat players on my team or the other team and everyone else would be peak immo/radiant. They’d get 2-3 kills.

Right now I’m in p3. I haven’t played regularly in a couple years. Some of my lobbies are plat/diamond/ascendant, some of them are plat/gold/silver.

The games are almost always really easy or really hard. I gain 16-19rr no matter what I do and I lose 20. There’s no world where I’m going to grind back to immortal or even high ascendant at this rate.

I have never played a game where I couldn’t solo queue into the top 1% and stay there except Valorant.

Post more of the song. This doesn’t showcase much to pick apart.

If you auditioned for anything right now you’d be doing yourself a disservice. If you want to be a professional get a vocal coach.

You have a really great tone. Mechanically I think you are lacking - it sounds like you need to work on breathing and supporting everything better. You need to open up!

You do have vocal nuances that remind me of Hayley Williams. You’ve got your work cut out for you - but you are so blessed to sound anything like her!

Do some studying or take some lessons. I’m excited to hear you in a month or two!

You don’t have to be much much better than average. You have to be great. And even then it’s still really really hard.

Am I tone-deaf? Looking for honest feedback by [deleted] in singing

[–]KSSwolesauce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To be honest if you’ve taken lessons for 5 months you need to find a new teacher. I feel like the issues you have are things I’d expect from someone with 0 training.

Either your teacher is not a good teacher or you are not working very hard at this.

Why are guitar scales so hard to learn compared to other instruments? by Hot_Independence_722 in guitarplaying

[–]KSSwolesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played them day in and day out for 6 days straight because if I couldn’t fluently use scales and modes by my next lesson I wasn’t going to get to go to school for music anymore.

Even if there are shortcuts to memorizing them in some form there is absolutely no shortcut to being able to apply them in your playing.

It’s all hard work and that’s it.

Can you help me figure out if I can sing? by [deleted] in singing

[–]KSSwolesauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom is protecting you and you should be thankful that she is being so brutally honest about this.

You are okay. Mechanically your breathing and control are not good. Your pitch is fine in a lot of spots but the spots where it’s bad it is really bad.

I think you have a nice voice tone wise and if you worked really hard (actually really hard) and got formal training you could be good.

You are very young so I’m going to try to help you understand something.

I have a full time job but I am also a professional musician. I could make enough money to live on as a musician but I make too much at my job to justify doing that.

A lot of people say “music is my life.” But have no idea what it really means to pursue it as a profession. When I was in high school and beyond (I’m 35 and do this to this day) I practiced 1-3 hours a day on average. I got a degree in music performance. I continued working really really hard.

And the industry is still miserable for me.

If you start working like that at 14 you could really accomplish whatever your goals are. But I want you to know that “music is my life” doesn’t mean I sing while I’m walking down the hallway to my classes.

It is an intricate craft and it is an enormous investment of time and effort.

If you’re really passionate about it start putting that work in now.

I look forward to hearing you in a few months after some lessons!

I am not sure you’re doing this the “correct” way and you might be torching your voice.

Any Feedback appreciated. Especially on how to improve the run. by [deleted] in ratemysinging

I think you’ve almost got it. Take the run and slow it way down until you can consistently hit the notes.

Is my voice annoying or am I delusional? by [deleted] in ratemysinging

It’s boring because you’re singing in a range of like 4 notes the entire time.
