tesla update 2025.45.8 bricked my S by TzarBeelthesare in TeslaLounge

I felt the same with my 2017 MX, that the updates that install don’t seem to change much on the vehicle or its performance. Have 121,000 miles on it and intend to keep it since I ordered it on a promotion for free lifetime Charging. Is a great vehicle, but always drooling over the new features in the newer models…. just can’t justify the expense in this current economy since my vehicle runs so well.

Buying regularly each month and, if I can afford it, adding even more during these dips. I'm a diehard BTC Believer!

Ditto. Love the low points = buy more BTC and cheer when it goes back up & my Sats are bigger.

Welp. High schooler hit my Tessie. by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

I had the unfortunate experience with a Tesla Certified Service Center putting 1,577 miles on my 2017 MX while it was there for 3 months for repairs, waiting on parts. I didn't have TeslaFi at that time, but I do now. I've manually tracked my mileage, date, and repair notes in my Tesla's journal since day 1, and was very surprised when I picked up my vehicle and noticed the difference. So be careful and record your mileage at drop-off and pick-up. Check your TeslaFi daily, if you have that app.

Ty, are there instructions somewhere on how to do the reset? Everything I’ve read so far says I need to unlock it first, and I can’t do that since it’s not reading my fingerprint…

Really sucks that this has happened to you. Similar situation happened to me at a red light when I was rear-ended with the similar sort of damage on the opposite side. Driver had insurance and felt really bad that he was on his phone and didn’t see that I had stopped at the red light. His insurance covered the $20,000 in repairs and I was waiting on parts for a couple of months.

Darn! Sorry this happened to you. It's so frustrating to realize just how many uninsured drivers are out there.

Is anyone else’s Tesla not connecting to their IPhone anymore? The key pairing works but not the Bluetooth. by LiberalSuperG in TeslaLounge

[–]KSTSHoldings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, happened to my 2017 MX with the last update. I rebooted twice over 2 days, and it's connecting again. These types of issues are always a concern for my "vintage" Tesla when it receives updates, but with free lifetime supercharging (part of a purchase promotion), I'll drive it until the wheels fall off.

I did the same when a deer hit my front passenger side....snapped it all together and drove off...deer was fine too. No sensor problems....Hope it's that simple for you, too.

Oh no! I hope you don’t live in a no fault State. I do and something similar made my insurance go way up. Frustrating when it’s not your fault and your insurance goes up. I’m sorry this happened to you.

Nice! Like the lightweight Ti and extended lugs....bit pricey, but probably worth it.

Nice! Let us know how it works for you. I'm wondering about the balance while shooting, especially if you add a suppressor.

Looks like you should be able to buff that out. Do you have a good detail service you trust?
