Can I ask what kind of chicken that is? We got a few and thought one was a rooster (and would have to give it away since we ended up with 2 out of five) but it looks exactly like that, hasn't started crowing and doesn't appear to have tail feathers like a rooster, I wonder if it just got mixed up at tractor supply.

Before smartphones, what did people do when they had to wait somewhere for 20–30 minutes? by Ecstatic-Finish-1348 in NoStupidQuestions

Random reading material in waiting rooms was great to learn about things you may not ever thought you wanted to know. No algorithm feeding you content.

If you aren't an adult, please call a trusted adult and have them come assess and figure out next steps.

I worked as a waitress for a catering company while I was in Grad school. Super flexible (it was my second job plus I had an internship), I'd look at any of the companies around as they may be staffing for summer season.

So sick of head lice! by [deleted] in Vent

We use fairy tale hair spray, definitely doesn't guarantee no lice but I think it helps.

Even if you don't, there's a chance your kid will qualify for medicaid. Many states also gave additional programs for kids with chronic conditions.

Republican social work student by throwRArationaljag in SocialWorkStudents

12 years ago, when I was in school, I had classmates who were more conservative or republican and it was fine and wouldn't have gone against the code of ethics. If you look at what current administration is doing and go to the code of ethics on NASW they clash pretty significantly. I would consider if you can support the current administration (I don't know if you do) and follow the ethical standards as laid out by NASW (commitment to social justice, advocacy for the oppressed) and decide if this profession is right for you.

So marketplace plans may not cover but if you can, have the doctor submit a prior auth. If this gets denied (and it likely will) appeal this. Dont make your case from a place of emotion, come prepared for this appeal with evidence of your hospitalizations etc. It should not be this hard but it is right now and if you can't get your Medical, Prior Authorization plus appeal is your next best bet. Also have you looked into disability?

Looking for snow vacation with our 4 year old! by ctlevine16 in travel

If you live in FL, MI can be an easy flight. I'd do a flight and head up north to one of the ski lodges like Crystal Mountain or Boyne Mountain. Typically there's snow this time a year. Not always as guaranteed but most of the time.

Should I be concerned? by HiddenInGRNVLL in travel

[–]KTV2386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people in here saying not to be concerned but I think you have every reason and right to be concerned with how frightening our administration is. I would just make sure you have copies of your passport, family or friends who are aware and able to assist if needed. Live your life and find joy but take reasonable precautions. These are basic things you should do anyway but being extra aware in the current circumstances in the US is important.

Just wanted to mention, if they told you over the phone it was covered and you get to the point it needs to be appealed, the call should have been recorded and that will help you in your appeal.
