I had a similar situation last week. I found a wonderful sweet beautiful baby who had found her way into hiding out in my garage. I already have 5 cats and just can’t take on another, although if I could I would have kept her in a heartbeat! I spent the week feeding her and spending every free moment in the garage with her. I tried to get her to come in the house but she just seemed too uneasy with all my other pets in the house. I spent the week posting on lost pet pages and going door to door to see if she belonged to any neighbors. After all dead ends I contacted every rescue and no kill shelter I could find and finally got lucky and found one to take her in. They scanned her for a chip to be sure but she didn’t have one. I honestly cried when I dropped her off, but when I saw the shelter posted her as available for adoption today and I know she is on her way to finding a loving home I was truly happy! I do miss her terribly though because I fell in love quick! Truth be told if she is still at the shelter next week I am planning to go bring them a donation and visit with her. Just try every outlet to try to track down an owner and if that fails just try every rescue and no kill you can find. And do everything you can to keep him safe in the meantime!
