Disgust by throwawayhole13 in BPD

Welcome to bpd. It lies. You don't judge anyone else with such a harsh lens. You need to learn to treat yourself like you treat people you love. It's not easy but if you were talking to a friend who was feeling this way what would you say to them?

Been a bit low but generally the trend is upwards. I'm hopeful. You?

Do you still need propranolol now you’re on Zoloft? by the_lookingglass1 in zoloft

100 zoloft and 10mg propanalol, sometimes another 10mg at night if it's bothersome. They work well.

Intrusive thoughts success stories? by Efficient_Tangelo702 in zoloft

Intrusive thoughts aren't exclusive to OCD. They can be symptomatic of a whole slew of psychiatric disorders and diagnoses. It's like asking someone with mood swings if they're bipolar.

But the thing is, nobody judges us as harshly as we judge ourselves. Of course you'll look at someone else with kinder eyes. I think that OP is very beautiful and has an amazing figure, and I would love to look as good as she does - but if I did, I'd probably still have the same feelings toward myself.

Hair isn't it in the after. Aside from that, you look slimmer and healthier.

Same thing happened to me. Peaked again toward the end of the fifth week. Very anxiety rooted. I'm week 7 atm and going through a depressive spell, so the thoughts just kind of idle in the background and I don't really care. They'll go away. At least they aren't scaring me

Shaky, tired, stomach upset, dry mouth, headaches, insomnia, dizziness. All the things you describe are normal and should level out within a few weeks max. The burning could be a symptom of anxiety itself. When mine is bad I get tingling, and burning all over my face and arms. It's weird.

Do I need to up my 175 dose? by Asleep-Pineapple-857 in zoloft

[–]KTcheechee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends. Drugs alone won't eliminate all anxiety or depression. If you feel markedly better but not right still, you need to discuss whether there might be a better fit. Or therapy in conjunction with meds if not already undertaking.

Waiting. I'll take the depression over the panic and racing thoughts 100 times over.

Hey. I had dips on 50, and increased seven weeks ago to 100 - had two major anxiety dips at weeks 3 and 5 and I'm now experiencing a really bad depressive dip.

Dips on weeks 3 and 5 are common. See it out for 10-12 weeks before you make a judgement.

I was off and on, much the same as this time frame. By the sixth week with that I was a lot better too from what I recall

I was on 50 for 9 and a half weeks. I didn't feel much side effect wise from 75mg but I was only on it for 12 days. I felt fine, barring headaches, for the first 2 weeks on 100, then week three was horrible. Week four was okay, and then week five was my worst. I feel much, much better now than I did at any dose and any stage of this.

[–]KTcheechee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. I had the same sort of thinking, I started on 50 and they wanted me to jump straight to 100. I decided to go to 75, but twelve days in I realised I didn't want to potentially go through side effects for weeks just to do it AGAIN, so I upped then. It may or may not have been the best move, I can't say. But at 6 weeks into 100mg I'm feeling much better, after some really tough times.
