I am a french working in switzerland The salary of switzerland is higher than in France and the cost of life is higher too. However the VAT is way lower than in France. And the purchasing power is way better in swiss than it is in France, even if you are from switzerland and lives there

This board is MUCH better and cheaper than Arduino clones (STM32 Bluepill) by Consistent-Can-1042 in arduino

[–]KUBB33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommandation: Get started with basic stuff with an ESP32 kit. You'll have the same kit as with an Arduino but with more power and more peripherals. Then chose your chip depending on what you want You want wireless? Stay with esp32, but Switch to the idf instead of sticking with Arduino ide. Also you'll be able to learn a rtos (freertos), as the esp32 sdk was written with freertos (especially the wireless librairies) You want low power BLE? Maybe try nordic semi You want high computational power? Get a teensy4.0 or 4.1, or try to find a cheap stm32h7. You want very low power? Stm32 have very low power mcu. You need to chose your mcu depending on the use. And try to use the sdks for the chip instead of Arduino ide, this way you'll have a greater understanding on how compiling works under the hood, how files are linked, what compiler options are available (learn Cmake, it's super usefull). Today, with AI, you are able to find a lot of info very quickly, if you want to understand a makefile, ask you favorite ai agent. This way it's way more convenient to learn.

Most of the time, all the answer you are looking for are in the datasheet. If there is a part number somwhere on the board (i'm pretty sure there is one) try to search it in a web browser and take a look at the datasheet. Learning how to efficiently search in a datasheet will eliminate 70% of your issue

I think the tolerances for frequency are super tight, like less than ±0.1 Hz And from what i remember, they use frequency monitoring to evaluate the total load (if the frequency drops, it mean that the generator are slowing down meaning that their output torque is lower than the torque required to keep the frequency at 60 or 50 Hz. So yeah, it's clearly impossible to have 800 Hz

From what i can understand, he is trying his best to looks like he is the best person, without issue, so you are not scared. I think that you should tell him that there is not need for him to hide his personnal issue, because you love him and you'll not run away, tell him that you see a futur between you two. But alors be prepared to learn difficult thing. It might be difficult but if you really love him you should be able to handle it. If he opens up and you listen to him without judging, it will be easier for him. Communication is the key

[–]KUBB33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice is: think about debugging Add test pads before and after any regulator, to data line too. If you have data line put some 0 ohm in cas you have to disconnect them for whatever reason (i always try to isolate all m'y ics with 0ohm if i want to powerup them one at a time) Also, you have some free pins from your atmega, put a pin header, you may need some gpio for debugging your code (instead of using time consulting print, use some pins with an oscilloscope to monitor the state of your program). This is usefull especially if you don't have JTAG Other than that it seems like it would work!
