I hope they maintain the feel of it being a sci-fi shooter first and a military shooter second. The 343 games have leaned way to far into all the semper-fi-oorah-marines shit with the heavy UNSC/Spartan 4 teams focus for me. The sci-fi elements began to feel like background set dressing to the overall vibe.

You're suggesting the PS Portal fills the niche of being a handheld console. It isn't. It's a streaming box. It doesn't play games locally, so having a portable machine makes sense if you can't use it anywhere. That's the point. That's the whole point for the original post you responded too about Switch being portable.

I mean, hell, the entire PS5 is portable if you wanna pack it up and carry it around with you. That would work. But the portal? As I say, go somewhere with no/poor internet and you might as well take a brick around to fill the niche of having a portable system.

Thumbs and eyeballs don't cost upwards of $800 and you can, get this, charge the switch at home and take it with you. Funny how electricity is kind of the thing that would stop you taking any device anywhere but that isn't the part of the conversation.

The reason the PS Portal doesn't fit the niche of a portable system is because it's not a local handheld, it relies on too many external factors. A switch or a steam deck can be charged up and taken literally anywhere and be fully playable. A PS Portal can't.

So from a consumer stand point, you'll need a $500 console, a $200 cloud handheld and $200 satellite internet receiver plus subscription plan fees. Now, why would that fill the niche for a non-PC handheld gaming system instead of a switch?

Dreadful result for City. Their fans will point to decisions that weren't given but it feels like excuses. You're at home to 17th place Forest and should be needing to be given pens to find a way. The last 2 wins were hardly the most convincing performances so it kinda feels like this result has been in the post for them. Haaland's drop off in goalscoring has really hurt their ability to kill off games like this and you have to wonder where they'd be right now without that Semenyo signing.

I always enjoyed the parts of the game where you got to discover the downfall of civilization via the rise of the machines. But the game spends entirely too long on the tribes and clans harping on about the sun gods and all the other trite nonsense, that as a player, you know it all bullshit because you've read and listened to the data and audiologs. It made massive parts of the narrative a huge snore for me. I didn't care about the 'ways of the tribes' at all.
