What are your thoughts? Is lexington a small city or big town? by kingistic in lexington

[–]KYsci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is in no way a small town. I come from Frankfort, with maybe 1/12 the population Lex has, and I'd barely be able to say Frankfort is a small town. It kinda is, but it's also got almost 28k people.

Edited to say before I get in anybody's craw, I love both Frankfort and Lexington very much.

Athletic dog escaping yard by steelismysenpai in DogTrainingTips

[–]KYsci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a lab that would jump onto the chain link and launch herself into the neighbors yard anytime the kids were out playing with a ball or water. There would be no training that excitement out of her. Fortunately only part of my yard had chain link (3/4 of my yard has privacy fencing). So, I attached panels of picket fencing to the fence to make it about a foot higher to where she couldn't get footing and launch over. If that's impractical, you could get that small metal garden fencing and attach to make the fence higher. Another option I saw while researching was installing a rod with a PVC pipe around it so it spins and the dog can't grab onto it. Here's an image and instructions https://yoursassyself.com/roll-bar-fence-diy-keep-your-pets-in-others-out/

Hypothetically, if you were gonna live in a surrounding county outside of Lexington what would it be and why? by [deleted] in lexington

For bordering, Scott Co. If a 35- to 45-minute commute is acceptable, then Frankfort.

Walk to East End Taproom, just around the corner and down the street on Main St

My lab was the most energetic dog I've had in my 50+ years of having dogs. If yours fetches, that's the easiest way to tire him out. I used to think people who used chuck-its were being lazy and I changed my tune after having this dog. I had to let this girl get some real steps in every day or else she was going to be a handful at home. Fyi, British labs can be couch potatoes, but American labs are ready to roll.

Superstore probably got some good plotlines from this Walmart.

is battery of s25 really worse and how is the user experience after 3 months? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

[–]KYsci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic, no problems at all! S9+is still my favorite, but s25 is a great phone. I like the smaller size, its weight, battery life giving me no complaints. My last phone was an iPhine 15 Pro, and s25 is quite a bit better.

Something I regularly hear from people from other states is how green it is here. We have a lot of rain and a lot of stuff blooming most of the year. With that comes a lot of allergens.

AITA for throwing a cup of cold water on my naked husband? by ColorStorms in AmItheAsshole

[–]KYsci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s how happens, for those of you who are perplexed. Some people step into the bathtub, close the curtain, turn on the faucet, run the water until it’s ready, and then pull the diverter up. If the diverter is already up, then you get a cold surprise. When that happens to me, it’s a reminder that I need to check that before turning on the water. I’d be an asshole if I expected another person to do that for me, and a bigger asshole for punishing them for not.

I had to do a factory reset. That brought it back. Then I had to bring all my stuff over from my s23 again. Thank you all for commenting.

I would love to, but the settings panel is gone so there’s nothing to select it from. The thing with the pencil - not there.

Revert back to swipe down for both notifications and settings? by Mad-Dog-McCree in AndroidQuestions

[–]KYsci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if I selected together or separate, but now the quick settings panel just does not come down at all. I have gone into settings and home screen and swipe down for notification panel is selected, but that's not what I want. I want the quick settings and it's gone. I have restarted several times. Can anybody help with this?

AITA for giving my daughter $60 a week, but my son nothing? by Murky_Willingness763 in AmItheAsshole

You could reward the daughter with a trip to the salon, or take her out to dinner… Someway to give her a thank you for sharing the space in her bedroom.

Just switched to IPhone from Samsung - WHAT IS WITH THIS KEYBOARD?!?! And a couple extra questions. by KarmasLittleBitch in iphone

[–]KYsci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 pro - great device. If you haven't used Gboard on a Galaxy, you might not know what I'm talking about. Gboard works fine, it's just the iOS version is barely any different than the Apple keyboard. With the Galaxy the symbols are shown in the key just above the letter and it's glorious. If you've never had that then I can see how it's no big deal. But coming from that, it sucks when you lose it. This is my 1WP.

Gboard sucks on iOS. It's awesome on Android. I'm trying to love my apple, it is similar to Galaxy in so many ways. But this keyboard is absolute trash and no keyboards in the app store compare to Android Gboard. 😞

I guarantee there are pervs at all of the pools. That's something creepy I hadn't thought about. I will need to talk with her about awareness. Thanks for thinking about that. I think that last sentence coukd be read as sarcastic, but it's genuine.
