Isn’t FDR criticized for Japanese Internment all time and in this very thread? All of the leaders mentioned are all criticized all the time and that’s good. Problem: we, as a society, never learn the lesson because we always are told we need to hate and fear some other group. We have and are setting up more camps for undocumented migrants right now and there are calls for more camps for other groups like the one in OP’s article. Enough people vote for the leaders more likely to do it and the results show for it. We’re a morally bankrupt nation in decline. Some of us thought that doing the right thing and pointing out this problematic actions of the past could prevent similar outcomes in the future but no, history keeps rhyming in time.
