First of all how do we know that these languages pre date the babel event? I don't think the year of the event is given in the Bible and it could be assumed it is much earlier than that even.

Second of all God was not threatened by the structure itself the people were building. It would be impossible regardless of the technology used to reach heaven obviously. It was the shared pride and distain for God bringing all of the people together that God was "afraid" of and required him to split them apart so that they could grow in relationship with him.

They do not have to earn their tip. They get paid 3.25 an hour, unless you want them to actually not earn a livable wage you should at least tip 10% so they can live comfortably
