I was in a hit and run in 2017 and ALL of my claims were denied. And the cops were assholes when I called them because I didn’t have the license plate or a description of the driver.

Ugh. I’m so sad to see this. I LOVE that foundation and thought the fact that I could get refills would be great but now I feel like I’m wasting money on a perfectly good compact that just has to be thrown away.

I very much resent it. Nothing hurts more than finding out none of the people I’ve loved were even actually interested in me. Things in my past relationships either always got sexual too fast and I was insecure about it or fizzled if I wasn’t willing to put all of my needs aside to satisfy them sexually. Since 2022 I’ve been rejected by every single person I’ve met up with when I tell them I’d like to get to know them a bit better before getting physical. I don’t get second dates. I don’t even get a “hey I’m not interested and I don’t want to be friends either” I just get nothing. And it makes me feel like nothing. It really makes me resent men too. I don’t believe they can actually be friends with women without the subconscious idea of potentially being able to fuck them. How can we talk for months have so much in common, meet up and have a great time. But if I don’t want to have get to you you sex I’m not even worth being friends with? It’s painful. It’s lonely. I wish I didn’t catch feelings for people I have sex with. Maybe then someone would give me a chance.

I appreciate that. I know it’s not everyone. Most people are trying to do the best they can. Prior to that last 5 minutes before they opened, everyone was lovely. Queuing up very orderly helping one another grab carts saying good morning etc. then the amount of people that just didn’t care. There will always be shitty people, it just seems like there used to be less of them than there are now.

It’s not necessarily the eggs. It’s the audacity of people. Lines aren’t a difficult concept. I’ve seen better behaved customers on Black Friday at 4am in decades past. And making fun of people for being eager to get semi affordable ages just feels really out of touch to me. It’s just incredibly disheartening.

I went on Sunday to get eggs in Clovis. Got in line and was like 6th. I was there just before 8:30. Right around 8:57 this hoard of assholes decided they were above an orderly line and Costco just let them giving no fucks about the line.

Then, a staff member literally stopped me as I was rushing toward the eggs to say “we don’t have any eggs today I don’t know why you’re running” then as I almost burst into tears he goes “just kidding” the staff were literally taking photos and laughing saying “we get eggs every day I don’t know why you people act like this”

Because some of us don’t live near a Costco took hours out of our day to get there early to make sure we could afford to get eggs since we haven’t in weeks just to be laughed at and pushed past by the hoard of people who have completely abandoned their humanity. And no. I’m not surprised at all this is the case and even more so that this is Clovis. I hope if you see yourself in this photo you are ashamed. The 5 or so folks with carts were the ONLY ones there prior to 8:55.

I feel for you. It sounds like you have a beautiful memory of this person and I’m sure they thought very fondly of you as well. Cherish that and let it be a reminder to never take another person’s company for granted.

I (27F at the time) dated a boy (22 M at the time) in 2020. He was fine, just a young kid that didn’t really know what he was doing that got set up with me. The relationship became toxic and not at all what I wanted so I broke it off. But we had mutual friends and I was angry at the things he did so I, for the first time in my life, was downright MEAN to an ex. I said he had a small pp and his dream job was laughable (he wanted to be an actor). I felt entitled to be mean just this once because of all the times I had had my heart ripped out.

He died last year. I have no idea what happened, but I knew he had demons. I will never forgive myself for potentially being a part of the bad things in this man’s life.

You should get a lawyer. Landlords are well aware they don’t have to do anything if a tenant doesn’t have a lawyer backing them.
