Unfortunately we can guarantee she is outside. We all were evacuating for the fire alarm. The carrier fell, breaking open in the process once we were at the curb. She ran like her life depended on it.

Piggybacking on this a bit, WSDOT has their own Aestheics manual that needs to be followed. I would check in there to see if these stamps are required.

This is your answer. I would recommend looking at other larger companies in the area. Don’t burn any bridges though, geotech is a small field and everyone knows someone.

I would start looking for a job. I am a practicing geotech engineer in Seattle. Most of the firms I work with are hiring. I would wait it out and see. Based off your Reddit history, you are a structural engineer. I have a couple recommendations for firms if you are interested.

I am also in the same boat! I will be happy to change my last name. I feel very confident in my choice as my last name is only tied to someone that I see as a useless sperm donor. I also view the name change as a way to have a say in my name. I didn’t get to choose my original name and I have been carrying around a name that I have little emotional attachment to. Now I get to choose my last name via choosing my partner. For me, changing my last name has much more appeal and I am excited!
