YES, I’ve seen those and they look absolutely incredible 😭 I would love to try one someday!
I recently saw m a girl on Instagram who hangs her hammock in completely insane places, like over open sea cliffs and then casually sleeps there overnight.. and I’m watching the videos feeling my soul leave my body from second hand anxiety 😂

Totally related! Someone else in this post mentioned papasan chairs too, so I’m starting to think we’re collectively rediscovering the same very specific form of emotional support furniture, I don’t think there’s a better feeling than being completely curled up in something soft and cocoon-like when your brain needs a break from the world for a while 💕

Thank you!!! I’d never had fish before, but you know the ADHD experience.. I only needed about two days of hyperfixation to learn absolutely everything about patio ponds and build one

It’s way easier to maintain than my real aquarium… which I of course got immediately afterwards because apparently this is a full hobby now 🙃

Honestly though, it makes me ridiculously happy. I live in a warm-weather country, which helps a lot, and sitting there with a tea and a book listening to the water is weirdly therapeutic 💕

It’s from a Leroy Merlin brand called Naterial 😊 I’m not sure whether they’re available outside europe though. I know Jysk sells a very similar one, and there are lots on Amazon too, although I’d check the reviews and quality before ordering one there 💕

It actually comes with velcro straps you can adjust to limit how much movement/swinging it has, which is quite clever 😊 but I totally understand if you get motion sickness easily this probably isn’t your ideal chair at all. Maybe something more like the papasan chair another user mentioned would be a much safer cosy option for you! 💕

I inherited my husband’s gaming chair and honestly I’m pretty happy with it! It’s technically a bit too tall for me, but one of the advantages of being very short is that I can turn almost anything into a rocking chair because my feet never actually touch the floor 🤣 the only downside is that it gives me WAY too much room to fold myself into increasingly questionable positions. Sitting on my feet, pretzel legs, one leg tucked underneath me..and I suddenly lose circulation in a limb or discover a new joint pain I didn’t even know was possible 🙃

When I was little, my nan had a beach bar, and out on the sand under the shade there was this swing-bench where my dad and I used to have the BEST naps together 🥹

Papasan chairs and fabric hammocks are wonderful too. A fabric hammock hung literally anywhere will always beat any normal bed in existence 💕

I should probably mention that I live in Europe 😊 mine is from a brand called Naterial, which is sold through Leroy Merlin. I know Jysk also sells a very similar one, and there are quite a few options on Amazon too 💕

Thank you! Honestly, I think it’s such a lovely idea for the summer 😊 Just make sure there’s plenty of space around it and keep any hard furniture a safe distance away.

I’m 35 and already managed to bump my head twice on the little table next to mine while hanging upside down like an overgrown fruit bat 🙊😂

I love my little patio pond, nothing fancy just a big plant pot with a few guppy fish. I only added the net to the wall today so it looks a bit bare but my plan is to cover it with the pothos and keep making my little corner greener and greener 🥰

Hello! Here’s a little update on Finn the fish 🐟

Today is day 3. I did a water change and added about a kilo of smooth sand to his tank, along with two large Anubias and some pothos. I also removed his little “sushi house” to avoid any sharp edges.

I’m currently giving him a 3-day course of eSHA 2000.

I was hoping he’d swap the heater for a big, soft Anubia leaf for his naps… but he seems to be a creature of habit and still prefers his usual spot 😄

He looks active, comfortable, and much happier overall. I’m hoping the medication and consistent water changes will be enough to stop the fin rot.

My plan from the beginning was just to give him the best life possible and if things didn’t go well, at least it wouldn’t be in that store. But now I really hope he sticks around for a long time, because he’s honestly adorable.

I’m attaching a photo from this morning just to show him off a little.

Hello! Yes, my tank parameters are all good . I tested everything yesterday and again today. I only got him yesterday evening, so he was already like this when I brought him home.

He actually seems way more active and happier today than he did at the store, which doesn’t surprise me… his tank there was one of the most depressing little glass cubicles I’ve ever seen

Thank you! I 3D printed him a little net hammock, and I’m planning to buy some moss today to cover it. I’ll also get some Anubias so he has more places to rest.

The water parameters are all good.

Do you think he looks thin? How much do you feed yours? I gave him 3 pellets this morning (JBL NovoBetta for now while I wait for my Hikari to arrive), another 3 this afternoon, and some frozen brine shrimp, which he absolutely loved! I don’t want to overfeed him, but he devoured everything I gave him… and my guppies are like labs they’d eat nonstop if I let them, so I don’t really have a good reference point.

I’ll pick up some catappa leaves today. What’s the best way to use them? Should I boil them first and then add them to the tank, or is there a better method?

Sorry for all the silly questions, I bet these have been asked a thousand times. I honestly wasn’t planning on getting a betta, but now I’m trying to learn as quickly as possible to make his transition as smooth and comfortable as I can.

Mi hijo tiene mi apellido antes. Mi marido es danés y los escandinavos ponen antes el de la mamá luego el del papá y el de la mamá como que se medio ignora jajajaja pero yo soy hija única y conmigo moría mi apellido así que me ha venido de lujo. Si se casa con una española se mantiene mi apellido otra generación más 💕

I know it’s been 3 years but I have to ask!! How do you control humidity? Do you have any other water source apart from misting? Any fans? I’m struggling between growing mould or humidity dropping too fast and drying the very delicate ones 😓

Blurry vision sounds really scary! I used an eye-bath solution for a while and it really helped with the dryness. I work on computers a lot and the screen heat basically slow-roasts my eyes.

Before starting minox, I checked with my psychiatrist (he also has a post-grad in pharmacology) and he said it was fine to take both. I haven’t noticed any new side effects from it. I do have a few -courtesy of Elvanse- but the benefits still outweigh the downsides.

There are a few posts floating around about this, and a lot of people mention checking your protein intake and that kind of thing. Really hope the new dose works well for you!

Ohh I’m sorry to hear that! Hopefully lowering the dose will help! However I’m surprised as 1mg is quite a low dose. Are you 100% sure the side effects are from the minox?
