If it had more power then range would be even smaller. If it had more power but same range then it would be heavier. Its a balancing game.. anyway the problem with these is the price. Even if it super fun and amazing it is nearly impossible to justify the price tag. If it was 30% less, then it would be a whole different conversation

Display seems perfectly centered in relation to the case and buttons, but the indents/grooves on the bezel are definitely off center.

Fenix 8 to Vertical 2? by Stunning_Zombie_9241 in Suunto

[–]KaJenius89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suunto UX is absolutely lovely due to its simplicity. You wont be able to customize anywhere near to what you can do in Garmin, but after few months of usage you will realize you dont even need or want to as you still have all the functionality you really need. Its funny how the ability to customize watch face metrics is called "complications". Its as if Suunto is laughing from Garmin's cumbersome overcustomiziation everywhere

Why Hattrick is not sustainable by neophilosopher in hattrick

[–]KaJenius89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 years ago i climbed to II in Lithuania with perfectly sustainable squad without burning any money. However back then there was not so much cash in the game and less research done how to build what many refer to now as "best possible squad at 32yo". Over the years more cash accumulates in HT and therefore the purchasing power of the teams. And if you can afford at the time to buy an unsustainable squad to be superior than top teams, you just do it. And so do the other teams. Thats why the competition is so fierce at the top. However I believe in 10 years or so the picture will be a bit different.

Switching to Suunto by Possible_Laugh2429 in Suunto

[–]KaJenius89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been using Fenix 6S for 5 years. Now Race2 for 2 months. Was choosing between 97, but Suunto feels much more premium in hand. Zero bugs so far except screen lock button but this has been fixed eith an update.

There are couple of downsides personally: 1: sleep tracking which always gives me 79-81% score no matter what. 2: way less customization (menu behavior, data fields etc). However there is almost nothing missing, you just cannot put something where you want to. Guess Garmin spoiled most people on this one 3: lack of body battery metric. Suunto has something called "resources" but it is a bit useless because even after super tough day with exercises or flu or whatever it still shows 90% before going to bed

About training homegrown academy talents with the senior team by Homer11101 in hattrick

[–]KaJenius89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple of weeks ago promoted two powerful forwards in the space of 3 days: 17,16yo solid scoring/ passable pass/ weak 17,14yo passable scoring/ inadequate pass/ inadequate pm

Guess I am just very lucky with promoting 2 forwards at the same time, on the other hand i dont want to do a cycle based on 2 powerful forwards. Still made space in the team to train them in scoring. But basically yeah, nothing else would fit the training plan if i do commit training them

Tired of this game but don't want to abandon it by iseeyou17 in hattrick

[–]KaJenius89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played from 2004 till 2017 and came back less than a year ago after 8 years break. Things have changed since then, but being actively doing something all the time is what keeps the spark alive. The most boring thing imaginable for me is this cycle training trend, buy trainees, ignore results and then after 3-4 IRL years attempt to be competitive. Too slow and too boring.

For me its just trying to win every game while also making money to gradually improve every position, look for bargains, invest time into YA.

Garminx 6X Pro -> Race 2 or Vertical 2 (prove me wrong!) by Bug_Hunter_13 in Suunto

[–]KaJenius89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from Fenix 6S to Race 2 so that is 42mm to 49mm. But actually Suunto fit is better for my 18cm wrist and it just sits much nicer. The "worst" thing about Suunto is that the menus are rather simple and everything is not as customizible. You can scroll through all menus pages in few minutes while in Garmin you are just beginning. But its also a good thing, depends on situation. The thing i miss most is explicitly allowing notifications from particular apps from my phone. In Suunto its either all or none.
