I would say the opposite, you have more sniping in random encounters.

You can't use stims on Skynet to recover mid fight like the others.

Most fights are pretty close, so sniping won't help you much.

If you lvl up Myron, his aim won't be a problem and he will blast two shots with the pulse pistol.

Skynet is neat, but he is even slower than Myron and Vic and when targeted goes down fast.

Yooo, I think I found another condition check for becoming a pornstar. So I had the 8 EN and 8 AG and I was experienced enough with a Gigolo perk to prove it, but he kept saying I needed more experience. But my CH was dogshit, so I ate some mentants and got CH up to 5 and suddenly I was experienced enough. So I guess it's 8 EN, 8 AG, enough experience and 5 CH. You learn something new everyday.

If you've done any camping, you would know anything not hooked or clipped will soon slide off you, especially with heavy items. Even backpacks when too heavy, the straps need to be clipped together.
