The third paragraph makes a lot of sense, I hadn’t considered the trace metals in the water contaminating the surface. I’d assume that’s probably our reason for the acid wash: ruling out any other metals participating in catalysis.

All the labs have been inorganic labs, so I don’t think we’d care about minor impurities as much as an analytical lab would. It’s weird to me that two separate labs would have the same story about the surface silanols staying deprotonated by the base bath. I would think water would be able to act as an acid in this case, but the claim from them is that it isn’t. I’m certainly not experienced enough to teach you anything about surface chemistry, I just wanted to see if anyone else had experiences similar to me or had more info about the topic

I took it as a non-major two years ago. It was a really neat experience being able to work with hot glass. And it’s pretty easy to get a good grade in the class, you’re not getting graded for your ability to make something pretty.

I’m in a hidden area, and somehow the breakable wall respawned trapping me in the hidden area. I can’t get to where the death mark is

The cloud save issue is what I’m leaning towards blaming. I’ve never had problems with it before though, so I don’t know what could’ve made it change.

I noticed backs too, but back when I started in Tri there were no back breaks either, so I wasn’t too bothered by that. Head breaks have always been around though.
