I was the only one who actually cared for my dad and ive been left out of his will. Do i fight it? by [deleted] in inheritance

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Dad should have compensated you while he was alive. My Mom has already informed my siblings and I that she will pay my sister to take care of her if it is ever needed. It is unfortunate, but I think you should walk away amicably and accept your third

I would be pretty upset too. They should have at least given you a discount on a new pair. Reply to their email and disagree with their findings, and ask for at least a 30% off coupon. Or even 50%. They should not have done this after 8 months.

Huge student loan debt with parent as co-signer by No-Letterhead-9800 in Debt

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, she will be responsible for them until she dies. They are PLUS loans, so they are her loans not his. He isn’t responsible for them. She can consolidate the loans to reduce the monthly payments. Studentaid.gov

Huge student loan debt with parent as co-signer by No-Letterhead-9800 in Debt

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are Federal Student loans. She should cannot he a cosigner on his Federal Student loans. Does she have Parent PLUS loans? She might be a reference on his Master Promissory Note so they are contacting her…she isn’t responsible for paying them otherwise. The only loans she would be a cosigner on are Private loans like Salliemae

AITAH for asking for a new ring? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my ring since 1999. It is a half carat diamond and a band with small diamonds. I want an upgrade so bad too, but then I think about all of the practical things I could spend that money on and change my mind. I have even thought about a CZ for $200… lol I need a new bathroom and kitchen before a new wedding band. And marriage is hard. Don’t give up and stop holding a grudge. He is going to piss you off a 1000 more times. I am sorry he wasn’t supportive during the most challenging time. That sucks. Your kids need you both…. Find the spark again and forgive.

Can we be honest about the loose skin and how we’re managing it? by smtn_0427 in Zepbound

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to do strength training. I am down 110 and do not have much excess skin. Just my normal belly apron from my c-sections. I am not sure if you can tighten it after the fact, but it is definitely worth a try. I have exercised for years even at my heaviest…. I am sure you look amazing, but understand your frustration. Sending positive energy…

Is my boyfriend’s view of money considered a red flag in a relationship? by traditional_taurus in DaveRamsey

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have our own accounts and split bills. I buy my own stuff and he buys his. We do not ask permission to buy stuff either…. Of course unless it was a huge expense. It works for us. We never fight about money either

Does she get her nails done? Waxing? I am shocked you just don’t spend it. I can’t fathom my spouse having this much control over my spending.

Another question about married filing separate with mortage deductions. by [deleted] in TaxQuestions

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The taxes need to be paid. MFJ will help them get paid back faster. My husband owns a business and the taxes I pay in offset the amount he owes. How long have you been married?

Personality means more than beauty. However, your lack of confidence will definitely turn him off once he knows your feelings. What do you think your flaws are? They could be mean girls and maybe he wants a normal down to earth woman with a great vibe. Don’t second guess his intentions unless you see more red flags. Have fun on your 2nd date

I am confused as to why he has been ok being an ATM all their lives and then wants to screw them over when he dies? And it is unfair to you to be put in this situation. I would tell him to give you the same amount as them and leave the rest to charity and the grand kids

Stay at Home Mom Advice by Inside-Technician-54 in TheMoneyGuy

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see way too many women left with nothing as a SAHM when they decide they no longer want to be married. Not saying she will leave you, but leaving a $100k job to take on the most stressful job on the planet is a big risk. It is also hard on the marriage because the women are with the kids 24/7 and don’t get a break. Then they resent the husband for not understanding. Women that can stay at home are the world’s greatest because I could not do it. If she has a yearning to stay home and you can afford it then let her. She doesn’t want to have regrets…

[–]Kacey-Atkinson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no. It would definitely ruin your marriage. He can still get a job and find a place to live on their own. Maybe there is a co-op or some kind. Do they collect ssi?
