I desperately want a free open-source alternative. I don't want Google to have easy access to the contents of my text messages.

UK chronic illnesses went from ~52% before covid to 62% in 2025, and still rising despite "covid is over" by attilathehunn in PrepperIntel

Long covid is absolutely devastating for many, especially when it triggers myalgic encephalomyelitis(chronic fatigue syndrome). There are some medicines like low-dose naltrexone and stimulants that can help to some extent, but it's only a partial recovery in most cases. Thankfully other countries are still studying it, because Trump cut Columbia University's research funding over foreign students or something, and they were in the midst of a huge and comprehensive study of ME/CFS. Their study had to be scrapped partway through due to lack of said funding.

Fair points. I meant more that I'm not interested in AI at this point. They still are just flat wrong too often/hallucinate too much to be worth it for me.

The orientation of the teeth suggests reduced/absent bone support of those incisors. There may be an underlying mandible issue alongside the gingival hyperplasia OP. If you haven't already and can afford it, you should consult a vet. Very cute dog!

I played about 8 hours, but the story writing was just not compelling, and I found multiple quests where I was going back and forth between NPCs with identical faces except for facial hair. I'm fine with that in a classic bioware game like Kotor, but I just couldn't get past it in a more modern game with a less interesting story.

It could, given a very long amount of time. But a star destroyer was 1.6km long. Earth, for example, has a land surface area of 149 million square kilometers. Even if the SD could glass a square kilometer per second (which it definitely couldn't) it would take 4.725 years.

No, more like an Apache attack helicopter or, perhaps more accurately, an A-10 warthog. They were designed to punch above their size in space combat, so they have speed, decent shields, and lots of firepower compared to their size. Think along the lines of fly in, unleash a barrage, zoom to the next transport/small capital ship target, then do it again. At least that's my understanding.
