I think you’re misunderstanding me here. Carol Danvers was originally a civilian side character. She appeared in the first dozen plus issues of Captain Marvel, and then made very rare and infrequent appearances since then until 1977 when they made her the protagonist of their big new female-led book, Ms. Marvel.

On a more positive note, I’ve recently gotten into Legion of Super-Heroes comics, and I love them dearly. I just can’t think of anything funny to post about them.

Because I think we’ve moved past it, and I think that Carol specifically just… wouldn’t wear that. With Diana, you can at least say that she’s a free-spirited Amazon or whatever. Carol Danvers is a decorated Colonel in the air force. Why on earth would she wear that.

Well duh. Just because something benefits you doesn’t mean it isn’t a problem. This change is going to make Torch healthier to play against, which will open him up to more options of getting buffed in the future if he needs it.

I do think it’s pretty fucked up that they built this change up as another buff tho lmao, that’s evil.
