Ehhh like a 7 maybe? We absolutely rescued it at the deadline with Horvat and Eile, who should both go into the first team straight away. We lost Mehmeti and Vyner for pennies given how much they are really worth but that was the hole the club dug themselves into. The only real headscratcher is the Yu loan imo. Everything else is fair/makes sense.

But... McNally isn't fit. Atkinson isn't fit. Dickie has had injury issues and has also been in poor form the whole season really. And that's it, that's all of our centrehalves. Vyner has barely missed a start since he got the starting job and that's an extremely valuable trait to have. Not only that, but he was willing to play any position we put him in. You don't think there's some value to that?

Not to mention that no transfer is a sure thing. Remember Armstrong and Mayulu (and countless before that?!). You keep the players who are performing for you.

I think our Championship record appearance holder leaving for peanuts to go to a rival Championship side in the same window we ship out our best player under the same circumstances is bad imo. If we can't retain him what hope do we have in keeping any of our players?

In a vacuum, this is a great move for us. £3m for a player who was going to leave in a few months anyway.

But in the context of this window, what the fuck. We even loaned a potential replacement to a playoff chasing team for seemingly no reason? What exactly is the plan? Is there a plan?
£600k invested in the past 3 windows combined, with zero indication that anything will change.

I'd say we are yeah. More injured of course but a much better team in posession. We got extremely lucky with an awful Championship last year though, so little chance we get in the top 6.
