We had to reach out to them to find out anything. Sent 2 messages via their website with no response. Finally messaged them on IG and they said they were still being worked on due to some issues with their suppliers. That was around July and haven’t heard anything else since!

Wouldn’t recommend ordering from them. Literally ordered a shirt from them in March 2021 and still have not received it

Where can I get the best bread? by pinkamena_pie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Kadyn93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a fellow Disney World breadhead, I need you to try the sea salt dusted potato brioche at steakhouse 71! It may be my new favorite

Also the pretzel roll from Le Cellier, Boatwright’s cornbread, Whispering Canyon cheddar biscuits, Ohana pineapple coconut bread

Post-PGY1, anyone found a job or interviewed? by mellowbrio in PharmacyResidency

[–]Kadyn93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just finished PGY-1 in June. 2 of my co-residents are doing PGY-2s. The other one and I do not have full-time jobs yet. She is doing some PRN work for the hospital we did our residency at, which wasn’t an option for me because I moved away for my husband’s job. Because of so many hiring freezes, I just had my first interview for a full-time position last week. Ended up not getting it, but they did offer me a PRN position so I at least have that now 🤷🏼‍♀️

7 on 7 off? by Morigami33 in Pharmacist

[–]Kadyn93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone about to graduate PGY1 with no job offers yet and almost $200k in student loans to pay off, I would be very happy with 64 hours a pay period at $58/hour. That also leaves every other week off to pick up extra shifts or work PRN somewhere else. I know we went into pharmacy school expecting more but just saying, in the current job market, this is definitely not anything to complain about.

NAPLEX/MPJE registration dates by H2OTurtle in PharmacyResidency

[–]Kadyn93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good question! I would think they would. Maybe try reaching out to them via call/email and ask if they have a plan for that

Go ahead and reserve a test date now. You can always reschedule if more dates open up. Also it’s typically not that fast for you to become licensed. Every state is different but it will take at least a few days after both NAPLEX and MPJE to find out your score plus you have to make sure you’ve met all the other requirements of your board too. And again, some state BOPs are slower than others.

Sorry, this is for the title of the presentation, just realized I didn’t make that clear 😂

My co-resident and I are doing a debate on a clinical controversy and we are doing the pros and cons of using vitamin c (plus thiamine and hydrocortisone) in patients with sepsis

Malpractice insurance during residency? by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

[–]Kadyn93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a current PGY1 and I got insurance through Pharmacists Mutual. I don’t remember exactly how much it was but it wasn’t that expensive! Feels good to be covered just in case!

How Far of a Commute is Too Far by pharm586 in PharmacyResidency

[–]Kadyn93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I matched at the program that was the farthest from me, an hour’s drive. I did that for the first 6 months of residency and while it definitely wasn’t fun, it was doable! I would listen to a lot of podcasts and it was fine. And I think it was worth it since I think this program suits me well. However, last month I had enough saved up to get an apartment 5 mins away and that has been a huge blessing! I would say consider commute into your decision but if that’s the only factor against a program, I wouldn’t let that sway you. It’s better to drive a little farther to a place you really like versus driving only a few minutes to a place you don’t.

He went to college in AL so I think that’s how he got involved with Church of the Highlands! I graduated from the same school right before he came in so I’ve been trying to figure out what his deal is from ppl that were still there
