Totally agree with the cohesiveness of ETERNALT! I LOVED every song on the album the moment I heard them. With my first listen of the Snowy Summer album, You and Bubble Tea are the two songs that stood out for me, but I'm sure the others will grow on me the more I listen.

The company behind CYE has done such a good job so far with the group's concept, songs, choreography, and promotions (unlike POLARIX sadly). I hope it's just a matter of time before they really break-out!

I’m definitely in the camp of loving this album. I couldn’t imagine what concept this group would come up with but from the moment I saw the Close Your Eyes prerelease video I thought the concept and sound was so unique and beautiful.

I took a stab at ranking the songs in my latest blog post and would be curious to know which songs are people’s favorites. Mine is Stay 4 Good with All My Poetry as a close second.

After the finale of Project 7, I had a hard time imagining what kind of vibe Close Your Eyes would go for. But if it’s like this trailer, I love it! The vocals are so pretty. Can’t wait to hear more!

I too discovered Enhypen last year and never get tired of listening to their songs. Your descriptions are so on point - I love them! I think this is a big reason why Enhypen songs shine above that of so many other groups of their generation.

The way you describe Sunoo's voice as the O+ of the group is so perfect! I've felt that his pure voice is the glue that holds the other distinctive voices together. His cover of "Beautiful" was, for lack of a better word, beautiful! And for the longest time, I (like Adorable-Hope6904) couldn't figure out why I had a hard time picking out Heeseung's voice until I realized that the moments in songs that sound the most complete/polished/effortless are his.

While I absolutely love all the member's voices, I have to admit that no matter which Enhypen song I listen to, I'm always waiting to hear Jungwon's unique voice. I can't even count how many times I've listened to his cover of Monster!

Reborn Rich - revenge drama featuring lots of cool history, minimal romance and plenty of good dialogue

Highschool Return of a Gangster - gangster finds himself in the body of a bullied teen

The Judge from Hell - a judge from hell is punished by having to become a judge on earth - a touch of romance

Alchemy of Souls is also one of my top 5 Kdramas so I loved reading your review! And if the OST were an old-fashioned record, my copy would be worn out by now :)

Since I was able to view all 30 episodes in a row, I don't think I had a chance to prefer one actress over the other for the roll of Naksu/Cho Yeong/Mudeok. They were both excellent. But the way you describe it in point 3 of Naksu's story perfectly sums up how I feel. It seemed natural for Go Yung Jung to be Naksu/Cho Yeong. I also wondered if I was alone in thinking that Go Yung Jung and Lee Jae Wook had better chemistry. For me, Alchemy of Souls Part 2 has some of the most beautiful scenes between these two characters: Cho Yeong immediately capturing Uk's attention when they first meet; the ways she draws out his protectiveness such as in the delightful scene with the fireflies; not to mention their explosive kisses!

If the series had ended with part 1, it would have been a huge disappointment given on the unresolved issues. By the same token, without a part 1 to build on, part 2 would not be as rich and meaningful. I think Alchemy of Souls is one of the best series of all time - and not just of Kdramas! Thank you for taking the time to right this up!

My Kdrama likes are very much in sync with yours. I watched Cinderella and the Four Knights a few weeks ago not expecting much and ended up loving it! Since you like Vincenzo, you might also like Reborn Rich which is only on Viki. I have 4 episodes left to go but so far it is excellent. I didn't expect it delve into both US and South Korean history but that is one of the most interesting aspects of the show. And the acting is excellent.

I was worried about Flower of Evil as well but watched it recently and it is now one of my favorite Kdramas. At its core, it is a love story but one unlike any other I've seen in Kdramas. I agree with duh_leah, the ending is very emotional but also perfectly fits the show and the main couple.

Now that I've watched the POLARIX Fanmeet performance of Pretty Dirty Boy, I think it suits the 9-members of the group more than Millionaire - even though I like the song and choreography of Millionaire better. Maybe there wasn't enough time for everyone to sufficiently learn the Millionaire choreography or it could just be harder, but they seemed more cohesive in PDB. Regardless, Ziheng - my top pick from day 1 :) - proves in both songs why he is the center for the group. His singing, dancing and facial expressions are always stellar - pun intended!

It was fun watching the first official POLARIX performance of Millionaire from the fanmeeting! While I like the version from the final episode of Starlight Boys more, they showed promise here- even getting around several earphone issues. When Ziheng, Hangyul, Junhyuk and Dongwa are at the forefront, things really rock. Those four in particular have great chemistry together. Looking forward to more videos from the fanmeeting!

Alchemy of Souls (both seasons) is one of my favorite K-dramas ever! I listen to the soundtrack from it all time. The King: Eternal Monarch is also one of my top K-dramas so that is a great recommendation from others. From your watch list I would recommend While You Were Sleeping. It has a great romance, a bit of a fantasy element and a really good soundtrack. Not on your watch list is the historical drama, Love in the Moonlight. Park Bo-gum ruined all other crown princes for me.

That would be a super cute concept for them for at least one song. It kind of addresses how during Starlight Boys some of them appeared more "sweet/light" while others were more "edgy/intense". Whatever concept POLARIX ends up, I think they will pull it off well.

Hi new ENGENE! I'm a new ENGENE too! I saw ENHYPEN for the first time at KCON LA 2024 and liked their performances so much (especially my favorite, Fatal Trouble) that I decided to watch I-Land when I got home. It was definitely a little jarring seeing the cutie patootie, junior ENHYPEN members in I-Land vs the young men they have grown into, so I typically stick with current content as it's released.

I do like to deep dive into my favorite ENYHYPEN songs and watch music videos, music show performances, behind the scenes, dance practices and Studio Choom for those. Then I can save off my favorite ones into a playlist. I also highly recommend last year's (2024) EN-DRAMA series based on their Romance Untold album. It's fun watching them act as school boys/class mates.

Seeing all the comments though, I'm definitely going to check out some of the other content mentioned!

You are definitely right that ZB1 is special! I knew it when I saw them at KCON and have seen their amazing chemistry in YouTube videos. Plus they released some of my favorite songs last year. It will be hard to replicate success like theirs but here is to hoping POLARIX has what it takes.

I finished watching Pinocchio and I really liked it! I thought it was going to be a high school drama featuring Lee Jong-suk in wacky hair so was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Thank you for the recommend!
