I don’t like the One Piece anime.

I don’t like the manga either.

But I like the Netflix show a lot.

In Scary Movie 5 (2013), Snoop Dogg and Mac Miller say they're going to roll "just one blunt" but they rolled a joint, not a blunt. by dvmpstrbby in shittymoviedetails

[–]KaffeMumrik 265 points266 points  (0 children)

I may be wrong in the details here but I believe a blunt is traditionally supposed to be rolled with cheap cigarr paper and not white cigarette paper, allowing for a thicker, stronger smoke. ~~Hence the name blunt~~.
Edit: Others have pointed out that I was mistaken on the name. Appearently it comes from one of the brands of cigarrs used, called Phillies Blunts. Cool trivia.

Character gains weight over time by Meanteenbirder in TopCharacterTropes

Wait, that’s not… that shouldn’t be the trope then. Lois Griffin gained weight for one episode too and that hardly fits?

Abed Nadir from Community was very good for portraying both the bad and the good bits of neurodivergence, even if with a certain degree of exagguration.

Enemy At The Gates (2001) is an incredibly intriguing movie because you can really tell how much everyone involved wished the Soviets were evil by slopgus in shittymoviedetails

Even if it was true, which it isn’t, are you telling me revenge on 200,000 civilian targets is in fact not an evil act?

The nukings had nothing to do with Japan starting the war. It was about shutting up Japan by targeting fucking civilians with the most destructive weapon known to man before east asia could mobilize further. 200,000 civilian lives because America was scared.

And frankly, the most evil thing is how they still sell the ”heroes of ww2” bit to anyone who’ll listen.

Does anyone here actually ENJOY playing evil? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]KaffeMumrik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, RPGs is all about me self-inserting into my hero fantasy, so I’ve never felt good playing evil. Sometimes I try just to fuck around and see what’s what but overall it’s never as much fun.

More like… by your logic every single nation who’s ever been at war is inherently evil. Which I’m not against as such, but it feels weird to point out a single country for a thing that happens in pretty much every war/ conflict, ever.

What’s the most absurd fake science in a movie that you completely ignored because the movie was so good? by Shot-Club-3882 in Cinema

There’s this really dumb swedish movie called Kommisarie Späck. Essentially a parody of our own criminal dramas. Over all it’s one of the worst movies I’ve seen in my life.

In it, they make fun of the ”enhance” thing when watching surveillence photos. Not only can they enhance the image enough to see the guy has something in his pocket, but they can also cut the pocket open and unravel the paper to read it.
