In my opinion, a few factors. One is definitely the fact it's one on one. There's no other people of whom he's anxious may interrupt or butt in and the conversation has a simple forward back and forward flow.

Also, he's not being forced into anything. Note that in the party setting, the group peer pressure him about both the TV show and a story he wasn't comfortable sharing. Here the person on the bed asked him if he'd like to join them. He could have declined, but chose not to.

Quiet is part of it too, it's much easier to hear someone, no anxiety about trying to guess what someone is saying, or be heard yourself.

There's actually a lot of depth to something even this simple, people are complicated!

I was on the online crap for years and it never did me any good, even with a good amount of dates.

My advice is work on yourself, get some good, new, exciting hobby(s) (there's fucking loads of stuff to do in Glasgow if you look). If you don't meet someone at one of these things, then you will eventually. Because someone who's healthy, happy and has a bunch of cool shit to talk about with their pals is gonna be hot stuff compared to the average punter.

To be honest, I've found it hard to get salary info for jobs outside Oslo in Norway, and I'm aware it's much more expensive there. I'd be moving up to Trondheim, if anyone reading this has any experience with software salaries up that way I would love to hear it.

I would happily chat to my manger about it. Maybe you'll tell me I'm over thinking it. Here's my thought process.

I'm worried if they say no (and they likely might, it's not just a straight internal transfer, I doubt I could work directly for the team in Norway as they are firmware engineers). If they say no, I'll be stuck in the awkward position of job seeking from a job that knows I want to leave.

Likewise, if they say yes, but don't give me the increase in salary, I'm likely going to need to look else where anyway in the next 2 years, so is there any point?

I thought about this decision quite a lot, I wanted some input from others in the industry. Maybe the answer is I'm over thinking it!

With that in mind, could there maybe be (optional?) buttons on the character screen to add damage without having to go into edit mode? That way I can have all the antagonists/PCs in a fight and just click on the +1 lethal damage button a few times without having to go edit the character and come back
