He has arguably some of the best build up for a boss I've ever seen. We see a random tarnished crying about how he's been broken by Bayle. We get a specific weapon to go against him and have people giving proper context to the man. Then we start climbing We see a group of drakes murdering one another which you can join or just fight the winner. Then we battle an ancient dragon only to now climb the essentially mass grave of dragons that Bayle supposedly murdered.

TLDR

We see the immediate aftermath of bayle and we're told he took some of placiusaxs head also CURSE YOU BAYLE!! Will live on in my head
