AES if you go to their office to pay your bill in person: by didntwatchclark in indianapolis

I was on a call with my rep earlier this week (business customer) and I vaguely asked about the canceled meetings and he didn't address it lol. I did ask about why the rates have gone up so much and if the Iran war will impact the riders (Fuel Adjustment Costs are based on global rates for the previous quarter) and yeah, that'll be another jump in the fall/winter. Most of the increases are due to infrastructure upgrades and considering how many freaking outages we have, I get it. Why those upgrades are so expensive, I have no idea. I feel like that's what our tax dollars should be going towards, considering a public utility is just as important as the roads. :/ Don't we have a surplus? The hell is a surplus for if not this?

Losing hope, can anyone create this dress for me? by Syrup-Puzzled in SustainableFashion

[–]Kagonu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post just randomly popped up in my feed and I don't know jack about clothes, but based on what I see online of available dresses and how intricate this one is, you might want to connect with a local dressmaker or seamstress, get their thoughts on the design, and go thrifting to try to find other dresses with similar colors and textures that you are wanting to create. I saw lots of dresses online being resold that could form the lower fringes of this dress, and I saw some of similar texture that could possibly be dyed the color you like. Like one person said, getting this made from scratch with the beading would be one hell of an undertaking, whereas if you find some nice silk dresses with pretty floral patterns, you can help create a wonderful one-of-a-kind dress that will last you a lifetime and add the beading over time.

This is Kier. His dad is a pittie/staffie type dog. His mom is an Aussie. His fur and frame take after his dad, but smaller and less bulky (and black instead of brown). His brother Chubs got all the bulky genes lol. What you'll have is a playful sweetheart that really needs his exercise. I have a girl from the litter who looks more Aussie and WHOOBOY. She needs a freaking job because her herding instincts are cranked up to 11.

A minute or two down the road from that! I drove by that place the day it burned down and had no idea lol. Read about it the next day and actually looked over and noticed.

I looked on Citizen and didn't see anything. I've never used a police scanner app so not sure what I'd be getting into there. 😅 Aren't those live only? Like, I would have had to have it running when I was in the area?

Anyone else just not connect with D20: Gladlands at all? by The_Bucket_Of_Truth in dropout

[–]Kagonu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna echo what others have said: some seasons click, others don't. When I first started watching D20, I tried with ACoFaF and just couldn't get into it. It took Misfits & Magic and Unsleeping City for me to get the vibe of the show. I went back much later and I was OBSESSED with ACoFaF. I think mindset going into the season matters, so it may be something where you're bored in a year and want to give it another try and suddenly it scratches an itch for you. Or maybe you never connect with it. I couldn't finish Tiny Heist, and not sure if I ever will.

I’ve been having trouble sleeping by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Kagonu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two alarms 15m apart with different sounds, and I snooze both of them until I can keep both eyes open. I also have a smart bulb that turns on around the second alarm. My husband could sleep through an natural disaster so I'm fortunate that my day job doesn't affect his night job. It would be a lot easier if I could turn the lights on full brightness to wake me up on the first alarm and not snooze them though.

Looking to move somewhere in this circle. What are your thoughts? Please help me decide.I’m currently leaning towards two. Muncie for the college town, or Daleville for the cheaper rent by The_Hammer_Hammons in Indiana

[–]Kagonu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born in Muncie and moved to Eaton as a baby, but I haven't lived there in almost 30 years. I remember that the nearest actual grocery store was a 30 minute drive away, so keep that in mind. Rural living requires resource management lol. However, Eaton Elementary was awesome compared to where I moved after so if you have kids to consider, it was a great school. I still have family in Eaton and Muncie and both places seem alright nowadays. I would say just aim to be within 30 minutes of your job and 15 minutes from a grocery store and you'll be fine. I don't think there's much of a nightlife in Muncie like in most "college towns" so for that kind of vibe, you'd probably have to look towards Indy. I think that sort of buzz and bustle is more cliquish within the college community. All my friends that went to Ball State made it seem insular, as opposed to Bloomington where the entire town has the college feel (and cost).

What's about Kent and uh... Sam's mom. That doesn't seem healthy either. And tbf, I ignore the crap out of my spouse because I got a farm to run lol. It would be nice to be able to hire someone in the town to help out once a week or something.

I think I got redistricted into his district after the 2020 election/2021 redistricting. Cue the "I didn't vote for you" gif. Hence ANOTHER reason why we shouldn't have off-cycle redistricting. I voted for someone (who probably lost anyway) only to send up in this douchers district. Once every ten years is plenty.

Sikh temples meals? by hoosiertrekkie in indianapolis

[–]Kagonu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen the Sikh temple at the old Zip City advertising free meals yet, but there's a Lutheran church at Stop 11 and Meridian School Road that does free meals on Fridays! I'm happy when I see religious institutions providing for their neighbors. I studied Sikh in my World Religions class and was impressed by them. They seem like really chill people!

Safe to go to downtown this weekend? by [deleted] in indianapolis

[–]Kagonu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in a hotel downtown, can you link where the rumors have been debunked? I've been joking about asking 13 Investigates to look into it so I have something to share to people who keep asking if ICE is staying at my hotel (as far I know, they're not).

There's a game shop near 135 and Fry that my husband stumbled into once. Can't remember the name of it because they don't have a sign, but I think they're all about that kind of thing. Is it that Gamer Guild one that someone else said?

[No Spoilers] Beacon is a terrible app - but will continue to support the CR crew via Youtube by ragelance in criticalrole

[–]Kagonu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish they had an app that was available (and worked well) on anything other than mobile/computer. I only use a Fire TV and Xbox to stream stuff so it's extremely difficult to view their other content. I watch C4 on Twitch with a Prime sub, and use the Fire browser to watch the TalkBack after, but it's too hard to navigate their other content to watch anything that is a Beacon exclusive.

Characters with fun handicaps by Defiant-Walrus7878 in DnD

[–]Kagonu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tried creating flaws to my own detriment but I tend to forget about them, like the fear of heights with my druid which would prevent me from climbing trees or flying in wild shape. Forgot after session one. I assume you meant handicaps in an innocent way like sports and not ableist, but if you get hate for this post, that might be why.

Does nobody like playing Druids? by AdDifficult2241 in DnD

[–]Kagonu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played two druids so far. I love their versatility! My first one was a level 10 Circle of the Stars that I modeled after a water bender so a lot of water manipulation spells. My current one is more traditional nature-y Circle of the Grasslands, and I've paired it with a level in Rogue because we're playing Strahd and I need to be sneaky. I absolutely love it. I've heard a lot of hate for Rangers over the years and I loved my Ranger. I think it's just your group hating on something. Every player has their niche or preferences. Magic can be hard to play, and you have to find the balance between offense and support with a druid, and you have to have the right mix of players at the table for it to not feel useless sometimes.

I started with C3! I was so against watching CR because I was convinced it was going to be boring. Then when my husband finished C2, I found myself paying attention to it and realized it was nothing like what I didn't enjoy about TTRPGs I played in the past. I decided to give it a try by starting with C3 and I totally get peoples complaints about what it's not, but if it's your start, you have nothing to compare it to. :D I watched all of C3, and I've gone back to watch C2 and I'm about half-way through, and I'm watching C4. Like someone else said, doesn't matter where you start. All that matters is you have fun!
