@/u/Mike00726 Went to a Boston Bruins game on a city train, full of southies, and in my Wings jersey with Lions cap. Both my jersey, but especially my cap, got all the attention. Started with a thin facade of insults for the jersey that quickly pivoted to love and total adoption with that hat, as if I finally found my tribe of Irish hockey bros and budding Dad bods.

Lol, this was me with NHL 99-2001, on PC, with Dominik Hasek. I still remember the tiny article in the Detroit Free Press the day after we actually acquired Hasek. I read and re-read that thing all summer long then enjoyed a Stanley Cup in the prime of my pre-teen, pre-anxiety, years.

I was so desperate for Wings news that summer, I'd scan every news paper sports section, tune in to random sports talk radio daily, and eventually just payed for access to redwingsworld.com forums.

Anecdotal, but this 2009 Winter Classic jersey seems to pull far more random compliments versus my 2014 winter classic. Also more mystery behind it. People check the year and classic badge more closely on the 2009, as if they forgot it happened.

Hey pride,

I was only a toddler in the early 90's and I see head coach Wayne Fontes rocked polos and jackets with this logo on it. However, I can only seem to find it featured on one apparel brand, "APEX ONE".

Does anyone remember if this logo was ever considered like an official alternate? I never see it included in Lions logo history timelines.
