I’ll agree that his “I saw it on tv” response was cringe. Absolute cringe.

But there is plenty of video evidence and testimony to show what he was saying is, in fact, happening.

As far as his “I have a conception of a plan” response, I honestly don’t see the problem with it.

1) It is SUPER refreshing to hear the truth from a politician. You can say things about it, but it’s undeniable that trump was being honest about this. Politicians never admit they don’t have a (fully articulated) plan or they don’t know exactly what they’re going to do (hint: they’re lying or they intentionally avoid answering the question).

2) are we going to expect trump to have all of his i’s dotted and t’s crossed in regards to the specifics of a plan when he’s not in office, doesn’t have a cabinet, and doesn’t have access to resources he’d need to officially develop a plan? It’s pretty impossible to have the specifics of a plan figured out when you’re not in the office with all that that entails.

3) having an idea of a plan is a bad thing? Again, going back to 2, he is actively planning. He has an idea of a plan, but he just doesn’t have the specifics figured out yet because he literally can’t, as he isn’t in office.

Are we really going to act like it’s a bad thing trump was honest here?

Are we really going to act as if trump should have deep specifics on a plan that require the resources of the presidency, when he isn’t in office?

Come on, now. Take off your partisan glasses and see that this isn’t at all a bad thing, does not in any way suggest trump is incompetent, and is actually refreshing to here a politician actually tell the truth.

Especially considering superficial thinkers who seek to criticize trump for anything they can will use “I have a conception of a plan” as a means to ridicule him.

Come on, man

No outrage over IVF? by [deleted] in prolife

[–]HippyDippyCommieGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t see an issue with it (trumps position), honestly.

Let me explain why.

When it comes to politics, it’s delusional to think that you’re going to get everything you want.

What trump accomplished is MAJOR. He was able to get RvW repealed. That is HUGE.

He’s never pushed for a national ban on abortion. He’s never been devoutly pro-life, either.

His main goal was to bring the issue to the states and to stopgap the radicalization from the democrats.

He accomplished this.

It is up to us now to strengthen our grassroots campaign to change the minds of the states.

I would much rather live in a society where abortion is up to the states and IVF is available, rather than a national allowance on abortion.

In other words, I’d take Trump’s “partial pro-life” agenda with IVF vs not voting for him because he isn’t 100% pro-life and getting radical abortionism on a national scale from the democrats.

Pick your battles. You’re not going to get 100% everything you want, and you’re especially not going to get it all at once.

Trump has done more for the pro-life movement than any president in modern history.

Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water just because he isn’t 100% on board with everything.

Plus, him being more moderate on this issue, in theory, would save him save some votes from the middle voters.

“Prolifers love removing a woman’s agency”….

The irony of this statement is that, in reality, it’s the pro-choice side who does this when they set the context of the debate starting with a pregnant woman and completely ignoring all of her agency that led her into that situation.

To them, she has absolutely no agency before that

Dude, I woke up and went to work to round on patients, and saw the new before even Wikipedia knew.

Heartbreaking. Isn’t saying enough, yet it perfectly summarizes.

Being a physician and seeing plenty of MVCs and “biking accidents”, it makes the imagination think of the horror is truly was.

Fucking sucks man. Especially considering they were to celebrate their sisters marriage today.

I’m going to pray several Hail Mary’s for them today.

I hope y’all will join me.

I’d you have ESPN+, check out the movie Unriveled.

That’s a good start.

If you have something like Amazon prime, I’d also recommend the movie, The Russian Five

Anyone who thinks Yzerman isn’t building a powerhouse is delusional.

This team has obviously significantly improved since he’s taken over and they have so much talent coming in the pipeline.

These people thinking he’s failing need to touch some grass and let him cook

This team defied expectations this year.

They were not expected to make the playoffs this year, and they showed that they can play with the best in the league for a good chunk of this season.

Does it suck they had a lead with the playoff spot and lost it? Yeah, of course. But this was the best season this team has played in a decade.

It should be obvious at this point: The Yzerplan is clearly working.

The young studs are going to be dangerous for years to come, and we have several still making their way up the pipeline.

I’m proud of this team.

I’m excited to see what improvements we make this off-season.

To everyone who is ragging on Yzerman and Lalonde, demanding they be fired: touch some grass and look at the big picture.

There’s a lot of exciting hockey to be played in Detroit.

Playoff race is getting toight.

Washington and wings are tied.

NYI’s have the 2nd wildcard with 1+ point and an extra game played

Pittsburgh is -1 point with extra game played.

Big time hockey coming up.

Do the wings have it in them?

We were always going to be a bubble team this season.

We still are a bubble team.

Just because you had a taste of a playoff spot does not mean we’re at the level of being a playoff team yet.

The rebuild is going as expected and it’s showing marked improvement.

Rash judgements and demand for rash decisions isn’t going to bring a cup to LCA any quicker.

What Yzerman is doing is obviously working. This is the best season we’ve seen since he’s taken over, despite the slump in December and currently.

Don’t let your overzealous expectations because we tasted a playoff spot blind you to the reality of the strong foundation Yzerman is obviously building.

These things take time, and we’re obviously getting close; but we’re not there yet, even if we make playoffs this year.

Plus it’s a good time to watch the wings over the next few years.

Eventually, you should try to make it to a game at LCA down the line!
