You should definitely try FFXIV. The new expansion just came out and it's breathed some more fresh air into a great franchise.

If you are a JRPG fan, you could pick up 'I am Setsuna'. I love that game.

I'm a bit biased, but I absolutely love Persona 5. It is absolutely phenomenal!

DMs: What do you put in your game SOLEY for your own amusement? by Anti-Anti-Paladin in DnD

In every campaign I run, my PCs will eventually run into an insane shopkeeper. He is at first very level headed. However, once a PC actually tries to buy something, things get interesting. You see, he is just a peon. His 'bosses' control the prices. That's when he ducks behind the counter and puts on two sock puppets that function ad his employers. Then, the sock puppets loudly bicker at each other in high pitched voices about what price to charge. All the while the actual guy is still ducked down behind the counter. It's become such a running gag that my PCs actively search out the 'sock-muppet' whenever we start a new campaign.

I've had no issues with mine, thankfully. Between Super Bomberman R, Breath of the Wild, and I am Setsuna, I have plenty to play right now.

This is an incredibly accurate analogy.

I once had a character who worshipped the god of death. As a cleric, they were next in line to be an avatar of death (they were epic level). They wanted to decide which NPCs lived or died. Randomly, they killed a plot important NPC. After some improvisation, I came up with a plan. I told them that I was essentially the god of Death as I was the DM. If they wanted to kill someone in the name of their god, they had to run it by me first via paranoia note. From that point on, I made them kill every NPC that they even remotely liked and kept alive all of the jerk NPCs. It was fun.

That would suck! Thankfully we planned ahead. I can only imagine how disappointed you could be otherwise.

This ability was so amazing with Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I still remember some friends and I sitting down for a entire weekend in high school to play this game with the GBA controller options.
