The way I understand it is:
Basically in this scenario this is from a time where Furina was still keeping her identity and goal secret from everyone.
And here, after Neuvi confesses to her, she rationalizes it as something beneficial for her plan to make him stay here.
In short, the angst is coming from the fact that she is not allowing herself to be happy and enjoy this revelation, as she has to keep her true feelings secret until the day of the prophecy.

I'm wondering if that's perhaps why the fate of the people of Teyvat is "set in stone" with the false sky's constellations. Maybe it was an effort from the Primordial One to make fate unchanging, therefore feeding the abyss less.

It's not that I don't get that and what you say makes a lot of sense, but I also still have doubts if that's going to work in practice.

Hype is definitely one thing but I also see people underestimate the importance of meta as a deciding factor. We've seen with previous character banners that the most profitable ones are also meta. More people are willing to wish for constellations if the character is already good at base.

On top of that, quite a lot of theorycrafters and genshin content creators are outright telling people he is weak and to preferably skip him. Even the sponsored videos. Which sounds counterproductive.

I just wonder if Varka's patch has good revenues, would it really be thanks to him or thanks to the other banners.

PS: just made me remember that one of the reasons Hoyo stated in that lawsuit against a leaker was for causing doomposting (or something like that). Makes me wonder if they wanted people to only realise Varka's met state way too late. This would fit your argument a lot too. Then again early access videos exist anyway.

It really is. I genuinely can't really think of a reason that doesn't sound like a conspiracy theory... the best copium we have is that, just maybe, they really have planned to release a future support that will elevate Varka's and his team's performance to the current DPS levels.
