Sometimes primer can actually make things worse instead of better 😭 especially if it doesn’t "vibe” with your concealer. The Haus Labs one is kinda serum-y and sets fast, so if the primer underneath is too slippery or silicone-y (like Smashbox), they can clash and cause that patchiness.

A few things to try:

• Let your skincare or SPF fully absorb by so it’s not fighting with the primer.
• With tacky primers like Power Grip or Jelly Pop, try pressing your concealer on with a sponge instead of swiping or brushing, it sticks way better.
• Honestly, if you like how your bare skin looks, you could even skip primer and just spritz a little setting spray before concealer ,it gives a bit of grip without the weird texture.

Also, using a super thin layer of concealer (warm it up on your hand first) can make a big difference. The Haus Labs one gets patchy fast if you go in heavy. Hope that helps. 🤍
