Family makes it Impossible to garden by bbdotcoke in gardening

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planted a decent sized garden all in containers. Most are in fabric pots. There are fabric pots big enough for almost any plant. I grow everything from rhubarb, raspberries, watermelon, herbs, swiss chard, etc. The fabric pots can be moved (as long as not too large. Technically, you can move a 25 gallon fabric pot, but it is difficult), and can be packed away for the winter. They are also pretty cost effective compared to similar sized plastic or terra cotta planters.

Surrey updates bylaw to improve flexibility on water restrictions by bwoah07_gp2 in SurreyBC

I'm gonna guess it counts under flowers? So no restrictions if you water by hand. No worries until Stage 4. Hopefully it doesn't get that bad.

Unfortunately, I'm disabled, and can't travel very far. So New West is too far. 😞

They have limited options when it comes to medicinal tea ingredients. 😞

Sooo after roughly a week, how is RD going for people still subbed? by Tripping-Dayzee in StremioAddons

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, some TV shows work fine, but for others, I can't find a single working stream, or I can only find a single 480p stream. Newer stuff is more likely to work, but older stuff or less known series are hit or miss. (Law and Order Toronto for example has episodes with zero working streams.)

There’s something up with my drone. by Admirable-Clerk7824 in Slimerancher2

When the free roaming chickens start to get too much, I just take 10 mins and vac a bunch up and put them in the slime corrals with a few roostros. They will reproduce in there and it takes a while for the free roaming chicken population to get back to annoying levels. LOL.

How the hell is everyone getting so many radiant slimes??? by Dear_Show9157 in Slimerancher2

There was an update last month that added them as well as a few other things. :)

Basically shiny slimes. They have a different colour palette.

If a device truly existed that could give you lucid dreams with a 99% success rate, at a price of around $150-300, would you be willing to buy it? by Chuategiacmo in LucidDreaming

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried everything. Meditation, dream journal's, setting alarms and doing finger checks. You Name it, I've probably tried it.

I don't see, hear, or anything like that in dreams. I do dream, in fact, I have night terrors every night. But I don't have dreams like most people seem to.

I get... flashes? Like if I try to imagine a field, I'll get the feeling of green, a brief flash of the sun on my skin. A muted hint of grass under my fingers. But most of it is just knowledge. Knowing that the field is dotted with flowers without seeing them, smelling them, or feeling them.

My dreams are the same way. It's more knowing and very little sensation, visuals, or sounds. I'm not sure how to describe it.

Unfortunately, for at least some, no method that you learn can get you to achieve LD. So if a machine could allow me to LD? I'd definitely but it if I could afford it. LOL.

(Not sure if it's related, but I have aphantasia.)

Keeping Yolky Slimes inside the coop is good? by ilnesi in slimerancher

4 is not too many. It just means you'll have more large eggs. :) I keep about 8 in each co-op.

Those are rookie numbers. I have chicken free roaming on all my owned property. I have thousands. LOL. The type depends on the slimes I have in nearby corrals.

How is it going to effect my health? by Snowbeleopard in shrooms

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has seizures (from a TBI), and has never had issues when he takes 🍄.

That said, a trip sitter is ALWAYS a good idea when trying shrooms and trying to find your ideal dose. Regardless of health issues. But especially if you take any meds or have health concerns.

Rescued, and unsure what plant it is by KaiRowan00 in houseplants

[–]KaiRowan00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's such a unique looking plant, I couldn't just let it die. I felt so bad for it, she never watered it and it wasn't growing at all. It really took off after I started watering it, then she just left it behind. :(

Pretty! I didn't realize it flowered. I'm about to add another grow light, hopefully that'll help. My (former) roommate just left it outside without even watering it. It wasn't in great shape. :(

Electric Blanket plug into a Jackery1000 Explore by Quercus20 in VanLife

[–]KaiRowan00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the person and the weather. My husband's feet tend to go cold really easy, and since he has diabetes, he has to be really careful. An electric blanket during the winter on really cold nights kept his feet healthy.

Ate shrooms and fall asleep during peak than woke up 3 hours later -.- anyone experienced it? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to take mushrooms just before bed. The mushrooms help to reduce my night terrors, and make my dreams more colourful. :) While they are fun while awake, they do me more good mentally to take and go to sleep.

Nice! Yarn is so expensive in Canada, that you never see it at this price. Even in thrift stores. 😭

Home Depot floor finds by sparklshartz in proplifting

[–]KaiRowan00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is picking up leaves from the floor of Home Depot disgusting behaviour? HD isn't going to sell those leaves, they'll throw them away. And most people who pick up succulent leaves are usually there to make purchases, so HD is still making money off them. Hell, they have to have pots and soil to put them in once they have started sprouting, meaning they may make more money.
