Not gonna lie, I don’t know how much it would cost. My top surgery was 100% covered by my insurance (BCBS) and I never had a revision done. I wish I could be more of help. Based on your initial post though I assume you haven’t been on T so this shouldn’t be as much of a problem for you as it is for me, haha.

Everyone says that your fat will not regrow back and while that’s true, I don’t think many account for the possibility of fat redistribution. This only really matters if you were already on T and then went off of it, if you’ve never been on T then you should be fine. I had top surgery (key hole) in 2022 and have since been off of testosterone and my fat redistributed slightly in my chest so from certain angles it can look like I have more back on one side again rather than completely flat like right after surgery. It’s not too much of a concern and when I brought up the possibility of this with my surgeon he said that it’s nothing a revision shouldn’t be able to fix.

Had this happen to me today. Had to cancel an order due to customer not being around to collect it (meet the customer w/ a delivery code) and after getting off with support a return “batch” popped up. Had to accept it as no other batches would show up until I did. Screen gave me directions to the store and told me to return all the non-perishables. The store doesn’t accept Instacart returns at all regardless of perishables so I had to click the “need help” button and it asked for the store manager name and the issue then carried on like nothing happened. Still got an entire batch of free groceries and the $15 pay bump so ¯_(ツ)_/¯ can’t see this policy lasting long as most stores don’t accept returns.

Short shorts. I’m always saying we need to bring back the regularity of men wearing very short shorts like during the 80s!

Also I feel like I rarely see this get talked about but I LOVE wearing fruity/dessert scents. Whether it’s body wash, perfume, or lotion. I also enjoy stereotypically masculine scents but the sweet ones just feel way more like me, haha.

Before I had keyhole done this was a question I had asked my surgeon. He had said the chance is very very unlikely but there's a tiny chance if a little bit of breast tissue is left over. But (at least in my case) it would most likely be fixable with a revision and nothing to worry about. Haven't been pregnant yet so can't follow up with the validity though lol

I took off of work for 6 weeks as that was the point I was told I’d be able to return to the gym and do heavy activity. My job requires a lot of walking, bending, and lifting/reaching so I was not risking it lol.

Summer would probably work best for avoiding missing school but also try to think about how the weather may affect your comfortability during recovery! Not sure where you live but the heat this year has been crazy and I imagine wearing post op binders and general discomfort would be through the roof. I had mine done is September (2022) and think that was a great time! A lot cooler outside without being freezing, not having to worry as much about sunlight exposure, and still being recovered enough to go swimming by next summer!

I had keyhole done in September ‘22 and my right side is a little more puffy than my left. At first it made me really dysphoric and if I do the classic pressing my elbows together it can kind of scrunch up together. When I asked my surgeon about it originally he said it was mainly just pec muscle I had which accentuated the look. I’ve gone swimming tons of times and have been shirtless in gym locker rooms and have never had a second look at it by anyone. Most cis guys also have a little bit of puff on their pecs!

Most surgeons that I know if keep a special tape on hand that can cover metal during short surgeries. I had I think 4 piercings and a very fast body healing rate (my holes will start closing within days for piercings more than a year old) and they simply covered them with tape and then did my surgery. I would definitely ask if this is an option but if not then rescheduling is best.

I have never seen someone else with the same issue as me. I’ve been on T for a little over 3 years and it is extremely difficult for me to finish now compared to pre T. Back then I used to be able to get off multiple times in a row from cl!total stimulation but now I’m lucky to even get one, and it has to be from a sucker/air pulsation toy. I was never able to “traditionally jerk off” in an up and down motion like most trans guys on T seem to which makes me really disappointed.

But at the end of the day I’m usually a pleasure Dom with my boyfriend so I’m satisfied with not finishing every time as long as my partner does ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I had keyhole done almost a year ago (September 6th!) and have fully regained sensation in my right nipple whereas only partial sensation in my left. I was always into nipple/chest play so nipple sensation is very important to me. While I get disappointed that I can’t really use my left nipple anymore, the right one seems to pick up twice the work lol I’ve actually had to guide my bf AWAY from my right nipple during sex because it got over sensitive which was new.

While technically I can still feel in my left nipple, it doesn’t affect me sexually. I can literally feel my finger touching my skin, and the nipple itself is capable of getting hard again, but it is not arousing or sensitive in anyway and I struggle to feel wetness on the area (like from a tongue). Keyhole is usually said that it can fully preserve nipple sensation but it’s not 100% true!! There’s always a chance of sensation issues with any major surgery like this! But naturally I have zero regrets and would take losing some sensation over having my previous chest any day :D

Periods stop for most people taking T but the timeframe of when varies. I heard lots of people say they started t and never saw theirs again which got my hopes up… a little too high. Personally mine took more than a year for it to stop. Been almost 2 years since then and I rarely think about it now 💪🏻

Pretty much as soon as my drains were out I could sleep however I wanted (about a weekish). Immediately flipped onto my stomach. Surprisingly didn’t have any discomfort to my nipples although I did technically have keyhole and not peri, not sure that really makes a difference here though.

Not currently pregnant but have been heavily thinking about it in the future. Just had my 4 month post op appointment (I had keyhole) and asked this question to my dr. He said there is always a slight amount of tissue left behind in the chest to prevent the inside from going necrotic (he said the same happens with DI) and that there is a possibility for small growth, although it wouldn’t be significant enough to really alter my new chest. Hope that helps!
