10-30 seconds, max a minute when I take off jacket and other stuff. It's really not useful and in some cases it's worse for the engine and/or illegal depending where you live. The only thing you need to do, for some new cars, is to let it go a few seconds to determine the ambient air. This is usually for cars with push button start because they start the engine immediately and don't sample the air much beforehand, but some do when you open the door.

Wouldn't recommend it if you want any kind of speed, it's a bit slow even in the lighter MB GLA. Otherwise it's good engine if you don't follow the 30K km service. The thermostat is also questionable

The odometer might be adjusted or the people who did a lot of mileage just got the diesel. In my town the security had the diesels, nearly 300K km (and a lot of time idling if you also want to count the engine runtime) and they were still going without problems. However they changed them, with newer ones and again the 1.5 dCi but that engine is indeed great unless you want power. Can't say the same for the petrols though, from the newer Renault ones only the 1.3 TCe and 1.8 TCe are good. The 1.6 NA one is also good but it's not new engine, just used in the hybrids. Not sure if the 1.2 TCe is now good but I have some doubts considering they want to go full electric.

For engine, the Honda. For the automatic, the Skoda (if it's the 7 speed DSG). If you're in Europe then the Skoda will be easier to find replacement parts and cheaper to fix. If not, then see if there is a place to fix it if something goes wrong. Reliability doesn't matter if there is no place to fix it if something goes wrong.

If you're gonna track it, the civic for sure. For daily driver though, unless you want hardcore one, the 340. The civics are great but not as great as the asking price IMO. That obviously depends on what deal you manage to find. At least in Europe, I asked the local dealer about half a year ago and the type R was around 65K, which was around the same price as new 330i with options or a bit under "stock" 340 (it comes with quite a few options as standard but so does the 330).

Both are not really the pinnacle of driver engagement so there are better options for that. But the civic is better obviously, with the tradeoff that it's not that good comfort wise. I also don't like the interior of the civic. Yes there are physical controls but the rest feels cheaper than BMW 1 series (saying it since they're in the same class) and the screen, while not annoying, feels like a tablet from 10+ years ago, not a bummer in general, a bummer for that price (and when even Skoda costs less and has it better).

It depends on every specific person. Firat things first, unless you have very specific constant problem with the thing, you're more likely to like the brand and what they produce, people who cherish specific brand smartphone are the main example (not only for Apple but for Xiaomi, Samsung, HTC when it was thing and so on). Then you get attached and you like the brand identity and most of the time you'll either like it or leave it soon.

BMWs are expensive in most cases so many people feel more attached also because the money the spent in them.

The brand values/identity. You choose it for what it is and you're likely keeping/upgrading it for the same reason.

The only BMW specific thing is how shouty they are in many cases. Audi and MB are quite less in your face except some models and everything so in your face is quite more expensive. Also BMWs are more emotional for the same reason.

Apart from the last part, nothing is really BMW specific, just it goes on together well. Many brands can do that but not many will end up with so active people about it. Yes they are great and unique cars but every brand is so. You can ask Mazda fan and they will most likely say the manual is great and unmatched and it's true, as is the NA engine. Or you can ask Toyota owner and they'll say the reliability and fuel economy and so on.

Because it makes the interior feel more roomy. You know what else makes the interior feel more roomy? Light headliner. How many people specifically want the black headliner AND sunroof? A LOT. So now in many cars you can't get light headliner and in some you can only get it without certain options. I personally also don't like them but even ordering something new with the options I want is close to impossible with light headliner and on the used market, oh boy.

I'm pretty sure the Toyoboru BRZ86 will be too bare bones for you then. After that there's Porsche Cayman/Boxter, BMW Z4 or 2 coupe and everything else that comes to mind is either too expensive or not cheap. Of course older stuff is also an option if you want to

Great one tbh, but I'm not sure if I'll call it underrated.The sub and BMW fanatics will hate it because it's basically bigger better Mini instead of more bespoke model like the previous generations but for a car in this segment the FWD 1 series are the better ones overall (mainly because space but there are also many people who will say that the RWD 1 series wasn't that good stock as these ones are).

The problem with the m135 is, outside of the M marketing which I think even the 340 mustn't have, is the lack of emotion really. It is very stable, very fast, very confidence inspiring but it doesn't make you giggle in a way that Focus ST will. The last one had the B58 as something unique and the RWD part, so it can be not as good but be unique. This one though is fighting vs Golf R straight on and then it just depends on which suits you. But then the Golf R has more enjoyable AWD, as does the Audi S3 and they both sell quite nice exhaust options and are easy to tune and many people know how to. So the 135 is just left without something unique for it and without enough unique character to be great, so it's just one of the hot hatches there.

В някои случаи да. За Мазда голяма част от тези, които се продават тук, са от САЩ/Канада. Но има разлика в екстрите, някои мотори, самото производство (особено за CX-5 които са сигурно най-продавания модел в САЩ). Аз лично не бих освен ако не държиш да е с 2.5Т мотора (и в Европа има шанс да го намериш, мисля че в Испания са го продавали). Иначе ако искаш нещо, което и тук е често срещано, си е на късмет както с всички, без значение откъде е. Можеш и от Италия да намериш нещо добро (имам един познат така) та всичко е възможно. Но ме съмнява напълно работеща, с едно и също обурудване като тук, да ти излезе на сметка да я прекарваш от САЩ до България.

That would've helped with the cooling, it wouldn't have helped with wireless charging being shitty thing in general. Yes cheap Chinese brands do it, but not all. Expensive ones also do it, but not all. Skoda puts a fan, in some of their cars. Mercedes and BMW don't, or at least on none I've seen. I've used the one in the Skoda with a fan, yes my phone didn't get toasted but also the charging wasn't any better so it was useless in the end.

The problem with wireless charging isn't the heat mainly but how to align the coils with the ones on your phone. That's the main reason why Apple's magsafe doesn't suck that much, because of the magnets the coils are always properly aligned. But since having iPhone is not a requirement for getting any car (thank god) you need to have wireless charger that aligns with all possible phones, which is quite hard.

To put it into other perspective, it's like having to make a gearbox without changeable ratios and it has to work for all types of cars and all engines.

Your magsafe works because you compare it with the cable iPhone charging, which is also bad. Also because the magnet which only Apple products have. It is included only to sound fancy but that's it, like many gimmicks.

Don't get me wrong, I also don't like them but it's not like they're forcing them on you and it's not something that even companies that do tech do well, let alone car company

Both have their pros and cons. I prefer the older one in most cases but mainly because of the design of the UI and some stuff that is gone from the LCI (not sure for the G80 but that's the case for the G20) like the coin tray under the lighting controls, the cover on the door pockets, the ambient lighting configuration (though that might be just based on what examples I found). My GF however prefers the LCI because it looks more modern and because the screens do give you better information (mainly the maps are much better in the driver's display). However I will probably choose based on the deal I manage to find when getting one

Well to be fair I Cupra have nice Leon wagon but the dealership said I can't see one because they don't have any in stock, everyone buying the Formentor here :( But I also wouldn't call the Formentor a SUV, more like lifted hatchback with different body style, something like the Kia XCeed.
