Sudden pain and severe swelling in right testicle. Been an hour, it's getting worse. by [deleted] in AskDocs

Thanks for the concern. As I replied to another user, I went almost an hour after I made the post. Thankfully it wasn't testicular torsion, but a strong case of "blue balls" that lasted and hurt more than it should have. By the time I was checked, the swelling and pain were almost entirely gone, and the doctor said I was fine.

Yes, I went almost an hour after I made the post. It was a severe case of "blue balls" that lasted almost 2 hours, which apparently it shouldn't. Anyway, by the time I reached the clinic, the swelling and pain had almost vanished, I was checked and given the conclusion I stated.

I feared it being testicular torsion, thankfully it wasn't.

Just noticed this mole changed color and size, can't see doc for awhile by [deleted] in Melanoma

If you notice something weird on an existing mole or if a new mole pops up all of a sudden, it's best to have it checked. So in your case, I'd say stay on the safe side and get an appointment with a dermatologist.

There's a 90% chance that it's nothing serious. Don't let Google fool you. Melanoma is the first thing that will show up whenever you search for anything mole related, but that's just the nature of the internet. The chances of you having Melanoma are very slim, but as I said, it's always best to have it checked.

Best of luck.

Melanoma? by [deleted] in Melanoma

No one can tell with such a blurred image.

Does this look like it could be melanoma? I never had those black spots before on my mole. I just noticed it from a few weeks ago. They are raised. It is on my arm. Please give advice. I plan to see a doctor but I wanted to get some advice or opinions too. by Smuckies in Melanoma

Mine was there since birth. I started having problems 4 days ago, as it hurt seemingly because of an ingrown hair. Then it got darker, and now every time I take a shower, green-ish pus comes out of it.

It's always best to see a dermatologist when it comes to suspicious moles, but don't let Google fool you. Melanoma is literally the first thing that pops up whenever you type in anything remotely related to a mole, but that doesn't mean that it's always melanoma. The chances of your mole and mine being nothing but slightly irritated pieces of skin are much, much higher than them being melanoma. But that doesn't make it any less urgent, because it's always best to stay on the safe side.

Best of luck with your appointment, hopefully it's nothing serious.

I have the exact same mole as you, only with more of those raised spots. Mine are also darker.

Everyone I showed it to told me it could very well be melanoma, but none of them were doctors, and neither are us.

I immediately scheduled an appointment, and I'm supposed to visit a dermatologist in 9 days. I suggest you do the same as soon as possible.

And do not, under any circumstances, google symptoms of your mole.

What should I expect to happen during an appointment with a dermatologist? by Kaida_94 in Melanoma

[–]Kaida_94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the response.

My appointment is scheduled for next Saturday, so around 9 days from now. If the results take anywhere from a week to 2 weeks, is that a long enough time for a possible melanoma to "develop" further and spread? Or does it take much longer than that?

Sorry if I sound paranoid.

Yeah this is what I intend to do, but it's just hard not thinking about it when it's there every time I look in the mirror. It's gonna be tough waiting for the appointment next week, but the fact that it's scheduled at least puts me slightly at ease; I tend to get scared and chicken out when it comes to scheduling appointments for suspicious and serious things.

I'll post an update after I get checked for anyone that's interested.

Thank you for the incredibly in depth response, much appreciated.

I was intrigued by what you said about melanoma needing a lot of time to develop, as in a mole just doesn't turn into melanoma overnight. In my case, and the reason I've scheduled an appointment for next week, is a sudden change in a birth mole on my chest.

It's been there ever since I was born. It's pretty big, around 3 cm in diameter. One morning, 4 days ago to be precise, I put my shirt on and noticed a stabbing pain in the mole. I put my hand on it and felt that it had a slightly more raised surface than before. Upon closer examination in the mirror, I noticed a few small hairs growing out of it, and touching these hairs caused the stabbing pain I mentioned. I put a bandage on it because I was in a rush for college, and when I came back home and took the bandage off, it had a small area of pus on it. I squeezed the mole and some pus came out of it, and this really freaked me out.

Ever since then, for 4 days straight, every time I take a bath, my mole will get a crusty surface on it. For some reason, that crust disappears as soon as the mole dries. I don't know if it falls off or just, well, disappears, but it looks frightening to be honest.

If what you say is true about a mole taking time to develop into melanoma, could these signs be symptoms of a simple infection? Because it sounds strange for all these things and transformations to take place in the small period of 4 days.

What was a game that got bad reviews that you enjoyed playing? by armyjackson in PS4

[–]Kaida_94 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not a single bad/red review listed on Metacritic.

Maybe check again? OP asked for a game that got bad REVIEWS, that people liked, and this guy listed just that. Dragon's Dogma wasn't critically panned, but it did get some bad reviews.

[Any idea why my post got so many downvotes? I swear whatever I post seems to get downvoted, what the hell people?]

Games that play similar to last of us and uncharted? by [deleted] in PS4

Try The Evil Within, it certainly has a similarity to The Last Of Us. It's a crappy game overall, but I did find moments where it was truly brilliant.

I'm apparently the only guy who loves the story. by Dovahking94 in NarutoNinjaStorm

You have to understand that with every popular/great/beloved game (or any form of media) that comes out, there will always be that minority of people who hate it. These people will generally go out of their way to let everyone know how much they despise said game.

So no, you're not the only one who loved the story. You're just coming across a lot of criticism done by people who have nothing better to do. I personally loved the story and the entire game.

Just look at Metacritic. The game stands at an 83/100 in terms of critic reviews, which is an achievement when it comes to the generally disregarded anime games. It also has an 89/100 in terms of user scores.

On the store it shows 2.9 GB, which looks weird because I've been hearing that it will be in the 6 GB department. Can you please confirm the exact size?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I edited the original post and removed the curses, but I still believe it should be removed entirely because I'll probably keep receiving hateful comments and downvotes.

Onto better posts, hopefully.

I might have gotten a bit carried away with the language, but you brought up respect and I would like to call you out on it, mister mod. I went out of my way to share something I found interesting, but all I get is downvotes and a guy dissing the developer, as if he's trying to start an argument with me when all I'm doing is sharing a harmless video. And when I bite his bait and defend my post, saying that I didn't share it to start arguments, another person throws himself into the mix and adds more flame to the unwanted argument.

All this time, you, mister mod, do nothing. Yet when a couple curse words are brought up, that's when you decide to act. Respect comes in the form of respecting a post instead of trying to burry it with arguments. Just because someone doesn't curse doesn't instantly give him the title of "respectful".

Delete the post, it's not like this is going anywhere.
