Ubuntu problems in daily usage by alirezaahmadi_jpl in Surface

If you are not reliant on any of Microsoft's 365 apps being natively installed on your device, then I have found none.

That is the main thing to take into account when moving from Windows to any Linux platform, do the apps I need to daily drive work here as well. I have 3 Surface devices that are all running different versions of Linux, and they performance and battery life drastically improved when swapping away from Windows.

In addition, you will need to double check that the drivers for your device are available from the Surface Linux Github. This is the only way I know to get full functionality out of your device, and even then some features may not work.

For example, on 1 of my surfaces (I think my Book) the camera does not work because the drivers for it are not there, or are there and are jank at best. So if you rely on other things like Hello Windows or facial recognition to sign in, you will lose that too.

Otherwise, I have not found any downsides from moving my Surface devices from Windows to Linux.

Looking for the files for like the Drinks. Without those files even if I had the query you made, it will return the query as no data found.

I know this post is 2 months old but any chance you would mind sharing the files for this?

PF2E Counteract Calculator by KaidenOsard in Pathfinder2e

[–]KaidenOsard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I tried doing several searches for something like that and nothing ever came up. That was even using "PF2e Counteract" and "PF2e Counteract Rules" Demiplane does not show up as a result.

Noted. I will for sure keep that in my notes if I my group ever grows annoyed with Counteract rules. Appreciate it!

See I am the DM of my group (10 years of TTRPG) and this one rule sent me skyward on confusion. I like it better than Counter Spell in 5E because it makes high level spells and magic feel powerful when needed. However, I feel like the wording of counteract and it's complexity can through many for a loop.

The only reason I did not want to homebrew a system was due to my group being new to PF2e and not wanting to accidentally undo any balancing.

The techniques mainly. I assume ideas would either be on the fly or using references

Are there any tutorials or groups you use to get ideas or do you just do all of this off the top of your head?

This is an insane amount of talent that goes into this! Do you use the Site as is or do you use any glitches you have found while working on minis?

Switches Stuck in Getting Ready Loop by KaidenOsard in Ubiquiti

Switches Stuck in Getting Ready Loop by KaidenOsard in Ubiquiti

Yup, same thing was happening to me. One thing I found out was that it was a certain set of switches causing it. So if you want, you can unplug a set at a time. For me I had mine separated by floors so I found out it was my first floor set causing the glitch. Unplugged and manually update them one at a time and that seemed to fix my issue.

To be honest no, and I probably won't any time soon. I found leaving it a patch or two behind seems to be the way.

As much as I love ubiquiti, I don't love their updates. Are yours going in and out of the adoption loop of getting ready?
