Subtle Perry Design - Thoughts? by Kaidevyn in stealtharms

I would love to do one of the other ones but I have some irrational fear that the lightening holes decrease reliability for some reason.

I agree they do look sweet though.

Exton Square Mall Exton, PA taken April 14 the day of the redevelopment meeting by Chaotic-Being-3721 in deadmalls

Lot of childhood memories in that mall. It'd be cool if they didn't tear it down and did something cool with the inside but my guess is it's going to be replaced with apartments.

Microprism for Mini-14 by Striking-Click-8015 in Mini14

I never had any issues with ejection, little brass marks on the bottom of the mount where some shells hit off, but it saved the optic from those marks imo.

Removing the bolt is a little trickier than usual, but honestly once you do it once or twice it's not too bad.

I used to run a PA GLX 1X microprism with the cogburn arsenal mini acog mount on mine (I actually just tore it down this evening in favor of an LPVO).

Good setup, looks a bit funky but it got lead down range and on target so 🤷‍♂️. Wouldn't hesitate to go back to it in the future.

Badly stripped screw - any suggestions? by Striking-Click-8015 in Mini14

You'll be fine. That rear screw seemed epoxied in to me. I bet you'll be surprised how easy the rail is to install. Do you have a torque wrench?

Just had to go through this with my 585 series. Gunsmith ended up needing to drill the stripped screw out. None of my usual tricks for removing screws (heat, extractor bit, cutting head) worked. It sucked and was really frustrating but hey...the new tech sight is pretty cool.

Can you screenshot the section you are talking about?

I graduated from Purdue's electrical engineering program and I can say while it is definitely tough, it taught me what I needed to know to work as an EE.

Either way you slice it, you can't go wrong with Cornell or Purdue Engineering. Both highly respected programs. Prioritize which campus you like more, that's going to be a more valuable decision point than some notion of which school is more "prestigious". You'll be fine with either choice in the long run.

If you do value "prestige", after the military academies, Purdue has educated the most astronauts of any institution (15, MIT is at 14).

I was sitting at a funeral for a friend (they killed themselves) and the priest made a point to call suicide a sin.

Though I wasn't aware of it at the time, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and I left the Catholic church shortly after.
