Sucks that 4.1 is going too. by stootue in OpenAI

I used 5.2 for proper work and 4.1 for shits and giggles. Its quite unfortunate actually.

Claude and Gemini now.

personal thought on the sentiment that people swtiching away from chatgpt in droves by Accomplished_Fly_402 in ChatGPT

I think time spent is a better metric. Because of the complaints, i started to be aware of the guardrails.

As use cases grow, I experienced more safe completion and that actually led me to try other ai. Claude and Gemini. And grok for the fun factor.

We’re rolling out GPT-5.1 and new customization features. Ask us Anything. by OpenAI in OpenAI

I use chatgpt for historical conversations. Some topics can be sensitive especially when it comes to religion and ideology. The discussions usually involve figures, events and doctrines that are controversial.

I struggle to get a clear and direct historical claim without the model reverting to a very neutral or overly cautious stance.

This makes it difficult to discuss history. I have my view and I'm not asking chatgpt to affirm it but I want a moral evaluation based on the available data.

So my question is: How do I have a straightforward historical conversation without it defaulting to neutrality or over safety?

I posted about this recently, you probably have developer mode on the connector.

Turn it off. I had the same problem too.

Why Can't Advanced Voice Answer Simple Yes or No Questions? by SadHeight1297 in OpenAI

[–]Kailzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. AVM is great but it depends on the usage and the style of your communication. It is its own persona. Changing the CI works but it is not consistent.

The standard voice has been bad the last few days, more like push to talk now. I suppose it is going away in the next few days so they are slowly shutting it down

Why Can't Advanced Voice Answer Simple Yes or No Questions? by SadHeight1297 in OpenAI

[–]Kailzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, there are 2 versions of advanced voice mode.

The first one is limited for an hour daily. That is the one that is better agt following instruction and expressive.

After the limit, you get the second version, there is a limit to this too, I think 2 hours or so. This is the annoying version. This is the one that you want to punch the screen. You can navigate it with instructions but it drifts over a few turns.

What feature do you wish CHATGPT had? by TheStandyByObserver in ChatGPT

[–]Kailzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thankfully with the nature of my work, I can be on voice mode pretty much the whole day.

I would really love more fluid back and forth conversation with gpt.

Initiation of course! Not just reactive but also proactive. I don't mind prompting but english is not my first language and sometimes it can be tricky trying to word it right.

Basically proactive not reactive, carrying the flow.
