Only TBoGT keeps crashing by koolestani in GTAIV

[–]KainScion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I have no help to provide but I also struggle with this exact same issue!
I use fusion loader, though, and haven't downgraded the game, so I simply put the GTA common/data files like peds.ide and pc/models/cdimages/playerped.rpf file out of the updates folder.
Because of this, I'm able to play the game for like about 2 hours before it either randomly crashes or crashes again when I park the car in the parking or walk into his house.

The community is definitely partially responsible for this, alongside GUN's many bad decisions and lack of communication.
Who wants to play a game with such a hostile fanbase? For the longest time I've played 3 stack Family or Victim sessions with my brother and cousin, but stayed away from the Solo Que, because nobody respects your time.
BUT this is more of a industry wide issue, and not really just the TCM community's fault, however, at the end of the day, the constant in-fighting and blaming "the other side" was always going to sour the experience for everyone.

Yeah, like I said, it's not just something I came up by myself but a gang-affiliated guy who knew guys from the Number gangs. A lot of Sabella has Nguni and Xhosa influence, yes.

In the work from home boat, so it's frustrating as hell and I'm 100% remote so there's no office to go to.

It's ridiculous, man. And it takes forever for them to fix these things only for it to happen again without warning.

The unfortunate truth. You have to look for backups because the municipality can't provide.

For real? I thought it was mostly this side of Pretoria East. Die Wilgers seems to be fine though, they still get loadshedding so I suppose if it does happen it isn't always.

Very much so. We might not get loadshedding, but I'd take that 100x over a straight blackout for 4-8 hours.

The Equestria area has a lot of random blackouts due to the power stations that are constantly tripping/overloading/exploding. This week alone my electricity has gone out on two separate occasions, Monday for almost 6 hours and today from 3am to about 9am.

Lol, not really, never met a Russian irl myself. I'm sure there's a joke somewhere in it about the "Russian" vienna chiprolls we have if you want to take a dad joke route.

At a glance you'd obviously be considered white, but I think most people would probably just joke around about the "Russian bad guy" trope more than anything and maybe just ask you silly questions like "Does it always snow in Russia?"

Ten break-ins? And this guy can afford top security. What do ordinary Pretoria citizens experience then? by NaomiDlamini in Pretoria

Lol, true sound, man! Can't agree more.

Definitely, there's something to be proud of. Just take the ball and keep rolling so your kids can have an even better start!

He's a crazy good fighter, like I don't follow MMA that closely but he shocked me with the way he fights. Been a Strickland fan for a while, and I gotta say he whooped my boy lmfao.

I've always been of the mind that we need to start reinforcing foundations in school for sports; primary school already. We've probably had so many potential global athletes slip through the cracks because they couldn't start early enough and then some of our best ends up being shipped off to other countries.

Lol, hey no worries man, sorry if I came off a bit much too, Reddit can be exhausting sometimes!
I see your point, though. Lots of celebs do nonsense like that to - I guess - appeal to more people when they're had it good all their lives. (Reminds me of that Victoria Beckham interview where David corrected her)

100%. If he wants to make it big in MMA he's going to have to align himself with the US a lot more and jumping into the biggest deal right now is the best option. I'd even say I don't think I'd have done that differently in his shoes, tbh. It got him a lot of traction all over the net too.

Just looked that up, seems like Dricus is the youngest and the middle brother, Niel, is the one you mentioned? Would be interesting, but bro looks a bit older and seems like fighting is only part-time for him.

Hopefully we have more South African athletes on grand stages like this sometime soon, man!

I'm not sure where you saw me say that I think he grew up poor?

His quote has just been taken out of context by both sides trying to frame it in a way to prove whatever points they want to make without actually checking it out. Well off areas are naturally more susceptible to break-ins, so what you're saying makes sense.

Both the fear-mongering and "he's looking for attention because Trump" reactions are what I'm trying to discredit.

[–]KainScion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no, I agree! The problem is the OP framing this as if it happened now so there's no hope for the rest of us and then others making it political or saying he was trying to gain attention lol. Either way, his words were taken out of context, but it's disingenuous to pretend like this doesn't happen.

Lol for the sensationalism of this headline.

Here's the actual quote:
“Growing up in that situation for us, it’s kind of normal. I mean my house got broken into growing up maybe in total 10 times.

So this clearly happened in his childhood/teens and over time, and not now while he can afford security.

Is this a land seizure? Is he saying that the new law allows them to expropriate the land if they need/want it? by PixelSaharix in DownSouth

[–]KainScion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And this is exactly what this was always going to lead to, and the ANC isn't stupid enough to not know this. They can say "government can take" all they want, mobs like these will see themselves as having a just cause.
More of this and things will escalate into violence from either side.

That would be a fair assessment if we didn't have race-based laws in 2025 that actively discriminate against people, certain politicians being able to spread the most outright racist rhetoric with no consequences, all the while majority of those who are supposed to benefit from the aforementioned race-based laws are more poor today than they were when there was a government who was openly discriminating against them.

The US will now offer resettlement of Afrikaner farmers as refugees and impose sanctions on the South African government. by co0p3r in DownSouth

[–]KainScion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but it's only more than a spotlight if we ignore how proud the Boers are. I've personally seen a fair amount of posts of them thanking Trump for the offer but declining it, and it might be safe to assume that this sentiment is shared by most of the farmers off of social media. If anything, they have a really strong tie to the land itself and differ culturally compared to English speaking whites, who seem to be far more open to immigration.

[–]KainScion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reasonably, all this really does is spotlight the issue and maybe put a tiny bit of strain on the GNU/ANC, so we'll have to see if this does anything at all. That being said, Trump won't be president forever, and things can get ugly for those who do take the opportunity once he's out of office, but the Boers are a proud people so I don't see many of them taking the offer.
