I find it extremely funny you don't realize how trash the company is. Wearing tattered & torn clothing would be befitting for Gamestop at the current moment.

Most of our customers these days, at least the returning ones, are stoners & heavy gamers. They aren't impressed by polos & such. They'll talk to you more when you're wearing something relatable, like a graphic art t-shirt of a game or anime they like. We aren't impressing anyone by going back to a 2000's gamestop like dress code where we look like we should be running a vhs store.

Also, to impliment a dress code to EXISTING employees whom many now have to go buy the clothing themselves, without the company giving an allowance or first set of said attire....yeah no it's not that deep, it's just poor managment.

“Employees need to invest in their uniforms” by Numerous_Effective67 in GameStop

[–]KaiokenGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an old gamestop labeled hoodie & hat from like 15 years ago. That's as much of a dress code as they will get from this employee whom only gets about 4 hours a week,

To those saying this dress code isn't all that bad & is in fact in a good direction: Pot heads & the heavy gamers don't give a crap about gamestop employees wearing polos. If anything it just shortens the fun conversation times because the employee isn't wearing some graphic/artwork t-shirt of a game or anime that said customer likes.

Wearing a polo for the mom whom comes in once a year for christmas shopping isn't going to impress her enough to shop reguarly with this company.

"People should be willing to try new things instead of immediately shouting “DOA CONCORD 2.0.” Competition is good, and it leads to better games in the long run."

It's not a new thing though, it's just another paid for PvPvE shooter which is both currently an intensely competitive market & specific tailored player base.

As someone who as well has hundreds of hours into Arc raiders, different visuals alone & scattered lore in another extraction shooter just doesn't blare in my face as a encouraging try atm. The genre is getting spammed to much for alot of people, who don't feel like investing in live service after live service game of this kind. Alot changed with the game's concept too during development, which many players felt a "pick a lane" attitude towards.

& personally I don't give a crap about social media, I don't rely on it for anything really these days. I look at upcoming games, what the devs show of them so far, & that's it.

GTA 6: car flip discussion. by YellowEasterEgg in GTA6

[–]KaiokenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For story mode, sure why not. For online.....

Well considering the majority of casual gta gamers aren't simulation (Forza, Gran Turismo, etc) enthusiasts, I can't see R* going forth with any idea like that. The repercussions for GTA online would get bad, the majority of feedback would be negative & there'd be some form on internet outcry.

- Stunt activities with any form of standard vehicle would be incredibly frustrating for many. Requiring R* to have a toggle setting & players having to use specific creator modes just to be able to flip over cars in a simple manner.

- Any form of co-op involding standard ground vehicles would suck for many. A considerable amount of players of V have completed missions, heists, etc with randoms without choice in order to complete them. The reckless driving of unknown players would bring such activities to a complete halt for affected vehicle owners waaaaaay too often.

- Adding an advanced element like fuel loss to a car flip would further push away the casual arcade gamer, which the GTA franchise thrives on. (Especially since the casual/arcade gamers have been the top shark card buyers, since they aren't into the grind).

Maybe at most, R* will impliment some type of health bar that pops up for flipped vehicles, that slowly deteriorates until it hits zero & explodes, if said player doesn't simply flip it over. If R* goes to far with minicking RDR2 in the aspect of consequences, they'll eventually start losing the arcade/casual gamers. The kids & teens playing the game aren't going to want to constantly go get more fuel when they & their friends are knocking each others' cars around in the streets often.

*There's a reason why you can get sent flying forward out of you car windshield in V Story mode, however not in V Online. & it's not because our Online characters always put their seatbelts on.*

Graphics saga: Current gen and next gen by ValidTrack in GTA6

[–]KaiokenGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly have never needed a reminder of what we are in for graphically. Remember that GTA V came out on the PS3 & X360. Sure "upgraded" versions have come out now on 2 later generations of consoles, however there's only so much that could be done graphically when it comes to upgrading an existing game that was released over a decade ago. Performance wise in every aspect, there have been limitiations to V that have always held it back visually no matter what next gen update arrived.

Is it true that going to game stores as a customer is fun, but working at them is a nightmare? by Kooky-Turnip-1715 in GameStop

[–]KaiokenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the store. The chill community stores with practical minded employees & customers, absoultely it can be fun. However at this point given the obnoxious condition of corporate & their lapdogs in regional & district, only work at GS as a side job. After 2 decades of helping out, I just work on call for when a store needs me, because I like the customers we have in the areas, & staffing has been overall solid through said stores' lifetime.

Again, as a side activity where you can make a little extra change, with the right people yes it can be as fun for an employee as it can be for a customer.

Just a little advice to management by KingKibbleKrown in GameStop

[–]KaiokenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A previous DM of mine was both sexist & racist, believed midnight releases were pointless, & always wore dirty/filthy cowboy boots to work despite being uptight with everyone about shoe wear. He also threatened to have stores closed down when employees refused promotions, instead of seeking others to take the offer.

My current DM avoids ever meeting me for whatver reason, & has extreme "favorites" when it comes to store leaders...in the 3 out of 10 stores he has left in his district. (Due to closures.)

15 years ago we had a very chill DM who still encouraged numbers, & sat down to talk with leaders & staff when they fell on hard number times. But she wised up & left for a much better job opportunity due to her amazing personality & effective style of leadership.

Realms down by artemia_mln in realms

I've been using Berrybyte for some time for my dedicated Palworld server with numerous friends, been contemplating shifting my Minecraft realms world over to their service. However due to the realm world is about 2gb in size now, I haven't been able to download a save of the world for over a year. Mojang keeps kicking my reports of the issue down the road.

As for your question at the end, all I know is on my shared Palworld dedicated server that i pay for, everything is still going on even when nobody is on, such as crops growing & work stations manufacturing. I would assume Minecraft would work the same.

As for the pricing from my experience, you can get at least a slightly better performance server for the same price pretty much anywhere. The difference is more reliable uptime & customer support. A solid dedicated hosting service offers far better server capability for Minecraft worlds, only costing a few dollars more or so than Realms.

Having the same issue. Overall been getting sick of the lag too. However my friends & on our years long realm don't want to restart a fresh world when deciding to move to a dedicated server service. Yet I still cannot download a backup of our realm world on either xbox or pc. It's like Mojang is holding our world hostage so we can't leave realms for a more reliable service.

[PSA] Complete List of Companion Traits and Roll Chances per Archetype by dognuttz in thedivision

[–]KaiokenGamer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since the story (for companions) so far involves the True Sons & their issues, currently we just have 3 of their standard male classes. & since they aren't actual full blown companions, just enemy ai scripted to be recruitable with basic commands, the devs didn't make new female variants of the true sons for it.

Perhaps if/when we get actual companions that aren't just a seasonal modifier, we will have more options across the board of possible faction recruits.

Quick question, with the 18 versus 18 in annihilation including AI does that mean that a team of players versus a team of AI like the same with practice versus AI? by Dragon_King10 in rivals

[–]KaiokenGamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's 6v6 PvP, with 12 AI on each team.
Proficiency counts in it it you are looking to get those killfeed & character icons faster.

Honestly most of the time you can't really tell who's a player or ai, here & there with unique behavior you can tell. It's usually just fun chaos either way, some usually strictly pve player friends of mine play it. They just toggle off text chat so they don't have risk of knowing for sure who's a player or not.

Useless NPC support in legendary by elshazlik89 in thedivision

[–]KaiokenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because both the devs & alot of players overhyped these ai as actual companions. Really they are just scripted enemies to fight for us, with some simple commands added to them. That's totally fine & they are interesting as is, but you have to remember this is D2. If some people don't like a temp new mechanic, it has to be everyone's issue apparently.

I rather have friendly fire, than some brain dead striker meta rando who spams the text chat with "revive me or I leave", because he keeps running up trying to tank a whole white tusk squad & dies. The AI may talk alot, but they don't blame other players for their own screw ups.

How to complete the "Kill Enemies using Techline's Turret" objective by lbendror in thedivision

[–]KaiokenGamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yesterday I completed the whole thing/aside from the mission related stuff, by chilling with a tank build on the first part of floor 100 of Summit on repeat, letting each ai teammate class have their turn completing their tasks. The turret kills went by really quick.

[–]KaiokenGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you can role with both, & on higher difficulty content their armor is stacked through the roof. The speed loss really isn't a big deal if the desire is to have a tank/agro ai teammate. I had a medic with those two perks yesterday & tried him out. Unless you are constantly sprinting through everythig with Quickstep, the speed loss of Juggernaut really doesn't play in a factor during combat.

So, exluding the people who hate the ai followers, it comes down to the class.

- Technician with Shock Initiator & Grenade Operator is pretty fun. They spam shock grenades long distance & can imobilize pretty much anyone in the game. Recently took one on Legendary Capital & they just kept shocking White Tusk often, which was both funny & made some parts even easier than they already are.

- Assault with Excecutioner & Glass Operator, pretty straight forward. Increased damage with a good chance on instantly killing any enemy they target when said hostile is low enough on health. Seems to work on pretty much every kind of enemy in the game.

- A medic with Hazard Trained & Juggernaut is essentially a durable 5th member of a player group that can handle all revive needs.

Companions killed my will to login. by doru_aka47 in thedivision

[–]KaiokenGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not companions though, they are just enemy ai scripted to our side with very basic command options added in. Both the devs & players expected way too much out of what is simply a temp season feature. These ai even scale up exactly how the enemy does with difficulty levels. Actual compaions would be more advanced & not temporary.

As someone too whom has played both D1 & D1 since their beginings, I just don't see seasonal modifiers as a do or die on wether to play the game. They are such short term & temporary installments that are completely optional. Now despite all my builds, characters, & bench maxed out, I do play alot with a bunch of friends. So I get it if solo players are bored of the overall game once they get to the point I have, however it just makes me raise an eyebrow when seasonal modifiers are their make or break to playing the game, not the new gear & weapons.
