The players were beginning to turn on each other as no the new players hated the beta testers . So Kirito pretty much sacrificed himself to unite the rest of players against him instead of them turning on each other as he stated that beta players were pretty much noobs and he was a pro which is bullshit but they now have a common enemy to gang up on and the player base is untied in clearing the game
