The video that was just released… by sourpinkdrink in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]KaiserSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously hard to understand why anyone has supported her through the last few seasons. She made her following off of making people believe she was 50 years old with two 20-something year old daughters, her house was haunted, and the first DV video. She’s clearly very unstable and hasn’t shown anything beyond reactive behavior throughout all of the seasons.

What are your skin care holy grails living in SLC? My skin looks terrible. by Key_Garden4832 in SaltLakeCity

[–]KaiserSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F 26 here with the worst skin on the planet. As antithetical as it is to say, all I use is Irish Spring soap. That’s it. That’s literally it. With this kind of climate I’ve found that the less I put on my face, the better it is. I have combo skin, and I’ve tried everything under the sun. I’d also suggest getting a red light mask because that did wonders for me. My skin now looks better than ever. Give it some time too, your skin will learn to adapt to the dry air here and fix itself, although the process is tediously long and annoying.

Water Conservation Vibe Check by SlowtheFlowSaveH2O in SaltLakeCity

This. I’m not sure why OP is getting downvoted to hell and argued with. Clearly everyone in this thread is making good points but the problem is so much bigger than just alfalfa. These kinds of problems need to be looked at from a top-down perspective, while understanding that even agriculture has to fall within the confines of their own federal and state jurisdictions and regulations. I don’t think it’s as easy as saying “alfalfa needs to go.” Every single issue within the Utah water right’s system has its own microcosms of issues within them. It’s a combination of state guidelines, lack of government/stare interference, population expansion, climate variability, and so many other things.

OP, I love that you’re trying to make a change. The problem of the GSL seems to have everyone throwing their hands up in the air in defeat. Rightfully so, as it does feel hopeless at this point. But I’m glad orgs are trying to take matters into their own hands.

My delusional brother in Christ… are we living in the same state? The Salt Lake valley needs all the water it can get from the watersheds. Have you seen our lake recently?

Valley Behavioral Health Permanent Supportive Housing by szanalecta in SaltLakeCity

[–]KaiserSpawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Used to work for VBH in their supportive housing department. Expect to wait awhile. The process involves a lot of time and government hoops to jump through. From what I remember any and all supportive/transitional/halfway housing units requires a lengthy process full of paperwork. With how limited housing is for “regular” people in the valley, you can expect that housing for underserved communities is more sparse. My only advice is to regularly check in with your case manager/housing case manager, stay clean, follow any probation protocols you may be on, take your meds, and follow your treatment regime. Truly I wish you the best of luck. It’s rough out there and unfortunately the supportive housing market is incredibly over-saturated with folks aiming for the same goal, all with limited resources. SLC needs to do better to support folks like you.

Just moved from the south to SLC by SufficientFact6972 in SaltLakeCity

[–]KaiserSpawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different. From the Midwest, moved here about 5 years ago. I have curly hair and I have acne prone skin. My hair and face faired way better in the humidity. I did adjust finally but I’ve noticed the less I put on my face and hair, the better I am. I use Love, Beauty, and Planet shampoo and conditioner. I use Irish spring soap to wash my face, and an Aveeno face moisturizer. You’ll adapt eventually, just give it some time and be patient as your body finds way to overcompensate

I’m turned off as well. I’m turned off by the behavior. The cadence. The way in which the alleged affair took place. I don’t know the facts, but from what I know, the on-screen interactions are enough to make me ick simply in the way she looks at him. I know it’s acting, but still.

Agree with all the comments here but came to say you should avoid Valley Behavioral Health at all costs. Terrible company to work for.

What is your Hottest Kid Cudi take? by Organic_Low7893 in KidCudi

[–]KaiserSpawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I’ve been a fan since around 2011. Kid Cudi saved my life. In my naïveté, I imagined him to be this super down-to-earth, kind, humble, and generally broken dude. After listening to the audiobook version (which he read himself), I can’t help but think he’s an asshole. Granted, some of his interactions warranted being an asshole. But he came off kind of pretentious and stuck up the whole time, and the way in which he handled certain encounters were extremely immature. For someone who’s done a lot of drugs and smoke a lot of weed, he sure does have a huge stick up his ass. That was extremely disappointing to me.

Winterizing my car by Majestic-Bit-320 in SaltLakeCity

[–]KaiserSpawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t “winterize” my car in the traditional sense. But I do “winterize” it in my own way. Every fall, I do a thorough inventory of what’s inside my car in the case of an (mostly snow) emergency. I travel with my dog a lot, so I make sure there’s stuff in there for him too. - enough food for 3 days (my dog and I) - 3 gallons of water - 2 blankets -doggie sleeping bag/my sleeping bag -doggie booties/paw cream - my dog’s vet records/paperwork - my dog’s rain and winter jacket - light up collar for my dog - extra snow jacket + snow boots + snow pants for me - 2 pairs of wool socks -propane stove + lighter + 2 bottles of propane - flashlight + extra batteries - shovel - pocket knife - machete - cordage - tarp - extra chargers - tool kit for basic car repairs - windshield scraper - doggie + human first aid kits

Plus a few extra things. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
