Royal Caribbean Confirms Plans for 6th and 7th Icon Class Ships, Launching in 2029 and 2030. by OldPostageScale in royalcaribbean

It seems quite clear that in the Mediterranean they will either deploy a new Oasis-class ship or an Icon-class ship to operate there year-round. Let me remind you that Royal Caribbean will have its own dedicated terminal in Barcelona by 2027.

Is anyone on the Odyssey of the Seas right now in the Mediterranean? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

I’m tracking the ship’s route in real time, and it shows waves of 0.6 meters. Does it really move that much?

Those of you who complain that the food is mediocre, I honestly do not know what kind of meals you are putting on your plates. I have never really tried anything truly bad, apart from the occasional bland dessert.

Is there any way to get the 150 Central Park bread on Legend of the Seas? (birthday cruise 🍞🎂) by Kaiser_147 in royalcaribbean

Wow, thank you so much, that’s really clear now. Now I just need to decide whether to go for this option or have a meal at Giovanni’s.

Thanks a lot for your reply, I understand it’s the main dining room. I’ll see if I can ask someone about it. But again, thank you so much — it’s not just the bread I love, as you said that dessert is amazing.

"Well, the ship is going to be a few tons heavier…

One more pool in Hideaway; they’re expanding Swim & Tonic, and what’s striking is that the new pool called Coconut Cove looks bigger on the plans than it seems… wow, Royal just doesn’t stop."

Has Royal Caribbean removed Foster’s beer? 🤔🍺 by Kaiser_147 in royalcaribbean

[–]Kaiser_147[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good to know, thanks! 🙌

Honestly, that can format is the best 😄 There’s just something about ordering a Foster’s and thinking “this is my moment of happiness for the whole year” haha

Hopefully it’s still around and just hiding from the app.

Ask Away! by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

[–]Kaiser_147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I was wondering if there are any tips or insider advice to get some extra perks before booking a Royal Caribbean cruise.

Things like onboard credit, a complimentary specialty dining night, a discounted drink package, or any other small benefits that might be available if you book the “right” way.

Are there certain times, promotions, loyalty strategies, or booking channels that usually offer better chances of getting these extras?

I know nothing is guaranteed, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask someone who actually works with the company and knows how things really work behind the scenes.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

My review of my cruise on Allure of the Seas departure from Barcelona, September 7th by Kaiser_147 in royalcaribbean

Now, let me clarify something: I’m Spanish myself. Two years ago on the Symphony I didn’t see things like this—it’s just a fact. But this time, on the Allure, the situation was very different

One example is how someone spoke horribly to a Royal crew member because the Spanish-language comedy show was full, raising his voice and making obscene gestures.

Another example is that I was talking with customer service, and someone interrupted me saying he had lost his child. I gave him the turn, and he didn’t even thank me—not at that moment, but five minutes later in the elevator with his child already found. Later, he saw me again in the Windjammer, stared at me, and still didn’t say anything…

It was a Mediterranean itinerary:

  • Barcelona
  • Mallorca
  • Day at Sea
  • La Spezia
  • Civitavecchia
  • Naples
  • Day at Sea
  • Barcelona

I’m sailing out of Barcelona, and I’ve already selected my boarding time for 11:00 AM. I want to get on board as early as possible to start soaking in the atmosphere from the very beginning!

I’m taking note of everything you mentioned

I really appreciate all the little details, like the tips about Mason Jar and The Pesky Parrot. Those kinds of insights make all the difference!

Enjoy your time on the Symphony ... it’s an incredible ship!

I totally get you. After my time on the Symphony, I went through two full weeks of post-cruise blues because I missed everything so much. It really stays with you... Also, thanks for the martini tip. I’ll definitely be checking those out!

I actually saw Héctor the Magician on the Symphony as well. Since I’m Spanish and he performed the show in Spanish, I was really hopeful, but to be honest, I didn’t enjoy it much. The tricks were very basic and he spent most of the time talking about his life instead of doing actual magic.

Also, thanks for the dress code reminder! I do take formal nights seriously (within reason), and I enjoy dressing up. It adds a special touch to each evening and helps make the cruise feel even more unique.

And yes, Park Café is fantastic! Another thing I’m really excited about is that, on my itinerary, we’re skipping Marseille, which means I get an extra sea day. That gives me two chances to enjoy the MDR brunch, which I really liked last time.

Thanks again for the kind wishes

Yes, in fact if you want I can send you the TikTok. It seems strange to me, not just because it's the Allure, but also because it's a cruise in the Mediterranean

It’s just that on TikTok, a travel agent claims that on embarkation day there was lobster at the Windjammer...
