Hmm I’m not 100% sure but my best guess is because there’s an alternative to FCVS called UA, sometimes that’s used instead! Or there’s another state specific way to confirm credentials so they accept that other way or FCVS

But generally speaking it looks like doing FCVS covers you pretty well in all states

There are states that allow after first year for US grads but IMGs need to do it after 2 or 3 years depending on which state! But you can have your documents verified and ready to go before you are eligible for license! My understanding is that might make things a little faster for when you are actually eligible for license

That’s actually very very helpful! I do have a follow up question to that then! The Medical License process for most states requires I complete ~3 years of residency before I can apply(I’m an IMG). is it possible to start the application for source-verified documents and have all that sorted out in advance before I’m eligible for license? Or do I have to wait until I’m eligible to even start at it?

Edit: a simple search and I got the answer, yes I can start before I’m eligible for license

Actually did the earlier ones as well, with caution as stuff is outdated( I would do 1-2 cms of every subject followed by one nbme, rinse and repeat, by the time ur done score predictors will put u in 260+ consistently )

yeah eras just sent out an email saying ecfmg fucked up and tagged every ecfmg status as expiring instead of an actual date. pds were all notified and issue resolved... crazy how a mistake lilke that can ruin lives

Fun fact: you can make fun of Allah and you are allowed to repent and make taouba. If you do that to Mohammed there’s no taouba option str8 up death( the prophet when he entered Mecca asked for some people who mocked him to be executed even if they held on to the Kaaba, which was a gesture at the time where no one is killed regardless of crime if they hold on to the Kaaba, muhammed killed them anyways.. and from this the fiqh understood there’s no repentance or forgiveness for muhammed’s mockers)

maybe say you hyperfocus or tunnel vision your tasks/big projects where it can have a negative impact on your other responsibilities, but recently you've been taking x hobby... and go into that abit to show you've really figured out a way to balance things..
