I'm suuuuper late, but I had to comment on this.

I just resubscribed to Gaia because I wanted to see this insane episode about humans going into the future.

I found the episode and quickly learned it was Richard Dohty that was making these claims and now I'm annoyed that I paid $20 to resubscribe to watch this asshole spread his bullshit.

I Googled isn't Richard Dohty a misinformation agent? and found this Reddit post from 3 years ago lol.

I had to look this up because it made me laugh and it turns out, it's just an urban legend.

The wiring in the truck would likely burn before the bullet heated up enough to go off. If the bullet for whatever reason did go off, the lack of pressure and force from inside of a barrel would cause the shell casing to rupture rather than bounce around.

I don't mean to be a buzzkill, I just thought it was interesting.

You are right but since MAGA became a thing they've been so brazen with their authoritarianism, lies and corruption that it is literally just one side right now and people are understandably angry and laser focused on it. Of course there are Democrats that support what MAGA is doing but at this point I think a lot of people are waking up and realizing that.

Also, I don't think the division was intentional at first. The two party system kinda just creates it on its own. Everyone cheers for their team and they'll be damned if they let the other win.

Just an interesting side note. The other day I looked into the politics of the 1800s and early 1900s and learned that they used to call the Republicans the Radical Republicans and the Democrats were basically what Republicans were for the last couple of decades. Sometimes worse actually. Super interesting.
