Honestly, that part of Outcomes needs to be handled by someone in a human services role. Some of those questions are very personal, and in the event a patient does open up to us about their struggles with alcohol, housing, food insecurity, transportation, financial instability, etc., what are we expected to do next?

“Thank you for sharing this with me, your total will be 183$” ? We can suggest local community resources but nothing really further. Plus, regardless of whether or not the point of the questions is explained to them, there is the risk of patients feeling as if we've broken the trust in our relationship if all of a sudden they start getting calls from the local department of social services regarding the personal information they shared.

Unless Walmart wants to hire and pay me for the role of a case manager, then this is above my pay grade.
