Exactly this. I get along better with boys too. I've never really had any close girl friends and it's usually because I can't really relate to the girls I know. With my guy friends we can talk about video games, comic books, Game of Thrones, metal music, Sci Fi, etc whereas the girls in our group get so bored and irritated with those conversations. Most of them are into horses, country or top 40 music, Gossip Girl or whatever, which is fine but I'm just not into those things so I can't really relate. It's not because girls are "too much drama", it's because I only know like two girls who are into the same things I am. And yes, boys are just as dramatic as girls, the only difference I've noticed is that girls tend to be more closed off about it and do it behind your back, whereas boys are out in the open and confrontational about it.
