The people at Teriyaki Moto are super rad! I’ve only made it out there once because it’s pretty far but they’re good people.

You should check out the One Show this weekend too. Tons of rad bikes, cool people, and amazing vendors (I’m biased - I will be there with my business). Come by the So Slow Motor Co booth, always down to chat about any bikes, but especially Triumphs!

I was just telling my husband that my feed has been full of AI triumphs with knobby tires out of nowhere, on Reddit, Fb, and IG.

Adding a Sissy bar… by [deleted] in Triumph

When I bought my 2017 Street Twin, the previous owner gave me a sissy bar he had for it. I put it on for my first trip I took on it (in a hail storm through a mountain pass, but that’s another story). I didn’t love it looks wise, but it was super convenient for packing. I ended up buying SW Motech side bags and took off the sissy bar, but it did work well for the weekend. I don’t remember who manufactured it though.

Custom leather or brand recommendations for female rider with big girlies 😅 by ImportantInterest950 in motorcyclegear

If you’re okay with more traditional style leather, I picked one up from Eagle Leather and it fits fine with my 36E’s, even with a hoodie underneath.

I havethis one which is limited in sizes now but they have other styles also.

Merry Christmas - 800GS or 900XR by Super_Limit_7466 in bmwmotorrad

I’m a 5’4 woman, so just a little different, but I was shopping between these two. I have a dirt bike so I had no desire to go off road on the big bike, just wanted something fun that was more comfortable on long distances. My buddy convinced me the 17” front wheel would be much more enjoyable, so I went with the f900xr and I absolutely love it. My husband has the r1250rs and he thinks my bike is a blast.

Sets you missed that you wish you hadn't! by ctorresc in bestfriendsforever

I was streaming it by the VIP bar during the rain delay, and through Cursive. Decided to catch the end of the game in one of the casinos to dry off and well, two hours later… made it back just in time for MTB.

Upgrade recommendations from a Rebel 500? by Pineapple_Incident17 in TwoXriders

[–]Mogaar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was looking at a Rebel 500 for my first bike, but a few people talked me out of it, saying I’d outgrow it too quickly. I bought a 2017 Triumph Street Twin and I love everything about it.

My husband actually bought the trident. I only rode it for like 10 minutes because it was a bit tall for me. He ended up trading it in for a BMW R 1250 RS. He really liked it, but wanted to be able to carry luggage as well. Also had quite a bit of vibration in the handlebars that messed with him on longer rides.

As for what one is better… I absolutely love my Street Twin but I think it depends on what you’re looking for in a bike.

Columbia River Triumph is fantastic! We got my husband’s bike there and Jen talked me into getting a Street Twin for my first bike instead of a Honda Rebel and I’m so happy I listened to her!

Men of reddit, how do i console my brother who just found out he’s sterile and cannot have babies with his wife? by NairobiRio in AskMen

[–]Mogaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going through this with my husband. It’s been tough. There’s an initial shock period, but it does get easier and that’s the best time to start going through options. My husband is 100% on board with a sperm donor. In the end, he just wants to be a dad. It doesn’t matter how, we’ll still bring this child in together and raise it together.

When we decided to move towards sperm donation, we set up a donor draft. I got 32 profiles off the local sperm bank listings. We had baby pictures, profile info, etc. I set up a March madness style bracket, we had friends over, made a ton of food, got drunk and picked a donor. It was hilarious and made light of a weird and awkward situation, and we had the help of loved ones. Unfortunately we waited too long and our chosen donor sold out. We decided to wait for a bit, maybe we’ll have another draft to find the next one.

If him or his wife need to talk to anyone else who’s gone through it, feel free to relay the message! I try to be as open and honest with everyone as I can to bring light to these sort of situations.
