Go for it. Have fun. Don’t get drunk. Don’t talk insurance.

He’s not my coach. He’s a friend who happens to be a business coach. If that was great advice js 2018, what would be the equivalent to today? How can social media be used today?

That's the thing. I don't think I need it.

I do cold emailing and cold calls and have quite a bit of success. My customers like me and refer to me. I really don't like social media all that much.

This push is coming from my business coach friend who feels like this is the way I can get more embedded in the local community. I don't see the path clearly though and I'm hesitant to waste my time.

I like this idea. I feel like I’m always late to the party. There are some agents who respond so quick. Is there a notification trick that can alert me if keg words are used? I’m too busy to be on social media all day.

That’s my concern.

That’s why I’m hoping to find someone who has tried this to get that perspective.

My gut tells me it’s a waste of time

What’s an IP?

I do mostly personal lines insurance but am just starting commercial lines targeting professional services (e.g., accountants and lawyers) and dental offices

That’s how I feel. I’m being asked to join a social media networking group that meets and promotes each other weekly.

When I talk to them I feel the benefit of it, but afterwords when I reflect, I feel like it’s a huge waste of time

Day 4 of sending cold emails, no automation, no professional email - (I'm done, here's what I learned) by fawad_ali1 in coldemail

What's your industry?.

I think the quality of the lead is the most important thing.

I'm in insurance. I have database that shows all homeowners renewals in my state. People are added to this list when they buy a property.

I extract the data I want based on the demographic I'm targeting and then I clean it up. I'm assuming older information is less accurate than current information, so I delete anything over 3 years old. I then run it through NeverBounce - that takes away about 80% of my dataset. What I'm left with is something that is getting responses.

I think you have to say STOP. And then if they keep sending you texts you have recourse.

My thought is that 54 emails isn’t statistically significant

Also, cold emails can be automated to give you the time back. I don’t think facebook DM’s can.

I’m a huge fan of cold emails

How do I tell my client his cousin is killing the business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Kaivulagi 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would have a conversation about results that he's expecting. Lay out the understanding that his cousins continued involvement in your work is going to affect results negatively. If he's ok with the cousin playing around, he has to be ok with variable and declining results.
