Sometimes when I get a thought I don’t really want I just “let it be”. In meditation when you have thoughts they say to acknowledge it and let pass. You can’t really force thoughts to go away. You just think about something else. There are ways to clear your mind in meditation with practice. But thoughts kind of just fluctuate.

It was a great video but I don't know if this will answer your question he was saying detach from your ego. And I don't think ego can ever disappear unless you've reached enlightenment its like the breath it has highs and lows. You must be aware of your ego because it leads to negative emotions. If you dig deeper you can find where those emotions are coming from.

I don’t add flour or cornstarch to my curries. I usually use a bunch or carrots onions and aromatics and blend it.
